Home is where you lie your head down, find your loved ones, share your secrets, enjoy others' artworks, create the ambiance you want.
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️
the outside world looked in today and i stood my ground. :)
swallow house a few meters from the new super highway / ring road around the city. she seemed to be taking the changes in stride.
This area is about 4-5 miles to the north of our home. I was out trying to get pictures of the elk and was going through my pics deleting the ones I didn't like. I was about to delete this one when I seen this black furry looking subject down on the right bottom corner. I'm wondering if you all think it's what I do...what's your guess??? I sure wouldn't want to try and drive up to my driveway in the wintertime! LOL
13/1/10
I apologise to anyone who looks at my pictures, because it's been bloody boring the last few weeks. I'm still fairly immobile, knackered and house bound. It doesn't make for a very varied photo stream I can tell you.
So I thought I'd give you lucky people a real treat today..... tadah! Rubbish isn't it? This is my first attempt at light painting and it took me hours. Making a room pitch black, setting up the tripod, stealing two torches from my sons without their knowledge, eating half a kilo of Quality Street to use the sellophane wrappers over said torches. Never let it be said that I don't suffer for my art, people. And that was just setting up.
I've lost my remote shutter button which did not help proceedings. So I am manually pressing the shutter, crawling to the wall in the pitch black, trying to memorise where on the wall I have to start drawing to be in shot, trying to memorise where I started, and therefore where I need to finish, then crawling back to the camera to see if I've done anything resembling a picture. And this is with questionably functioning stomach muscles. I must be mad.
And THEN when I'm sat at the computer loading them up, I explained to Simon what I was doing, thinking he'd be impressed and he said "mmmm, you could make that image in about 5 minute in Photoshop." Git.
Aqueduct Avenue, Morelia City.
This is my everyday view once i arrive home at night. It is a beautiful view from every angle but i would say the best way you can spot this place is at night, really.
The avenue has around +250 pink quarry arches, with a gradual-growing architecture and a decent statue at the beginning.

Thanks for watching.
getting a full colander of home grown strawberries every few days thanks to some netting and a warm summer and Pierre's picking for me ;-) a few for deserts and the rest for the jam making.
Yeah yeah yeah, not that great picture I know.
I just wanted to do something that was not moving-in-to-the-house-related, and I have missed my dolls.
We have lived in our new farm for 5 weeks already. While wrighting this, I'm home alone for the first time, and it feels both wierd and great. What the hell happened? how can I have a house, am I enough of an adult to handle this? xD
I don't know, but here you go, some Olaf in the last sun beams of the first spring weather. Still have alot of snow, but I'm positive! (and a lot to unpack lalala *ignores*)
And I have an doll room now! When it's not messy and awful I can show it, but right now I don't really enjoy being in there. (previous owners painted the entire room dark gray XC horrible!)
I hope I can be a bit active atleast now then the light comes back to Scandinavia.
See ya! : D
When you go home, tell them of us and say
For their tomorrow, we gave our today.

"With me, the present is forever, and forever is always shifting, flowing, melting. This second is life. And when it is gone it is dead. But you can't start over with each new second. You have to judge by what is dead. It's like quicksand...hopeless from the start. A story, a picture, can renew sensation a little, but not enough, not enough. Nothing is real except the present, and already, I feel the weight of centuries smothering me. Some girl a hundred years ago once lived as I do. And she is dead. I am the present, but I know I, too, will pass. The high moment, the burning flash, come and are gone, continuous quicksand." Sylvia Plath
Nothing like a quiet night to read and being connected to yourself.
And maybe find out what really makes sense in life to you.
