I returned to the barley field but then headed south down the hill and then turned east along the North Downs Way. For some reason I had never walked this part of the NDW. I followed it across Portsmouth Road, down Ferry Lane, across the river, Shalford Park and back home via the now finished poppy field. The field on the left has wheat in it.

this is just avoiding studying. this also doesn't convey a whole lot of talent. but at the same time, i really dont want him to go for the summer. i know we'll see each other and i know it's only four months, but i'm going to miss random afternoons in the park and especially holding his hand.
it'll get easier but in the meantime, i'm really not looking forward to next week. i am, though, looking forward to friday come 5pm because it will be summer vacation!
Hogsback Ridges on the edge of Oregon Basin betweem Meeteese and Cody Wyoming.
A hogback or hogback ridge is a physical feature that has a steep cliff or escarpment on one side and a gentler dip or back slope on the other. This landform occurs in areas of tilted strata and is caused by the differential weathering and erosion of the hard capping, cliff forming layer and the soft rock underlying the cliff maker that erodes more rapidly. These types of geomorphological features are generally called cuestas. Hogbacks are cuestas with a dip slope of over 30°-40. The ridges are often found in parallel groups separated by valleys underlain by soft erodible rock, often shale, These valleys between the hogbacks are called strike valleys because they run along the strike of the dipping beds. (The strike direction of a tilted bed is perpendicular to its dip direction.)

At dusk, in the Hogsback, a last beam of sunlight shines up the Tsume valley and illuminates the lower slops of the Amatola. Limited perspective landscape photos, taken from the stoep of Redwood House, Hogsback, Amatola Mountains, Eastern Cape. A fractured ankle limited my mobility. Experimenting with the landscape abilities of a new Fujifilm X100T. The black and white film feature particularly impressive. The red filter very useful for the different cloud formations over the Hogsback.
Finally got to take my first shots of 2012 during a quick drive through Letchworth State Park. Which of the two do you like best?
Not the most of inspiring of titles, but the road provided a surprisingly fantastic photo opportunity.
The view looking north of an early morning. (my Grandad told me you could see 6 counties of a good morning...not too sure how true that is!) had a trip up to London this morning and had to stop 3 times to take pictures of the sunrise. Stunning morning : made you proud to be alive
