At one point, the road between Escalante and Boulder runs right along the top of a ridgeline, barely wide enough for a two-lane road. It's called the Hogsback - and it is a SENSATIONAL drive.
they have the best tomatoes. and everything else is very, very good.
Somehow, the turn toward the road that takes us there always comes too soon. We almost miss it, every time.
Glad we know how to get there, though.

A view of the Hogsback Falls. The Hog's Back Falls, officially known as the Prince of Wales Falls, but rarely referred to by this name, are a series of artificial waterfalls on the Rideau River in Ottawa, Canada. The falls are located just north of Mooney's Bay and the point where the Rideau Canal splits from the Rideau River.vPrior to the construction of the Rideau Canal, these were a gentle set of rapids originally known as Three Rock Rapids. The name Hog's Back came into use shortly before canal construction. (Ottawa, Canada, June 2015)
