professor hildeberg's hibernating antartic zoo: professor hildeberg has discovered a dozen new antartic species that can now be seen in their hibernating state as they tour in his specially designed 'thermostatic vivariums'.
okay so this is my suggestion for all in the very cold weather!!! make some hot chocolate and cozy up to a nice fire place....avoid going outside!!
Waiting for the salt to work it's way off the road. Also need to change out the heat exchanger (can't wait any longer) and fix the interior door latch on the passenger side.

Found this little fella in the curled up in the undergrowth when I was gardening yesterday. It was hidden deep beneath a clump of ornamental grass.
One hibernating hedgehog, curled up inside a very well built nest, constructed of moss, mud balls, dried grasses and foliage. A lovely find.
It breathed a little when I 'stroked' it - not sure that you can actually 'stroke' a hedgehog, mind you! Then it settled back down to sleep. A quiet rippling bed of prickles.
I replaced the leaves I'd shifted and left it well covered over again. I imagine it'll be rousing from its hibernation soon.

I've decided to push myself with respect to learning how to increase the depth and vibrancy of a photo through the use of textures. I will be posting very beginner work but I hope by posting I will be motivated to improve.
This photo was edited with the expert support of a dear friend who knows what he is doing. Someday I will bring honour to his knowledge by actually being able to do it by myself. At the very least I can say the photo was taken all by myself.
Many thanks go to JoesSistah and Cleanzor for textures.
Thanks to PrairieEyes for support and knowlege and friendship. Check out his amazing work with textures. It will be a journey worth taking.

if you read my last couple of post, then you know that I’m not a huge fan of fall just because of the feelings i get. Though do not get me wrong i love the colours of fall so I figured i would do a couple more pictures out side when the colours are just magnificent . This picture here was taken in a near by forest in Ottawa, it was pretty chilly today so i wore sweat pants and a sweater over the dress and packed up my tripod with me. This is the time of year where animals get ready for hibernation or have already started, believe it or not thats what inspired me to do this shot… only if humans could hibernate!! So as I ventured in to the forest alone with my tripod it was quite peaceful, I found this beautiful tree and began taking shots… I was getting quite into it running back and forth to the camera to see what the shots were looking like.. as i was lying down i realized I was lying in a sworn of centipedes usually I would freak out but it was too cold and I really wanted to get this shot so i kept lying along the root of the tree until that awkward moment when your lying in a spring dress and its freezing out and your all alone and someone walks by walking there dog.. oh hi lol ! anyways This is the shot! enjoy
