This crater, called Stóra VÃti (Big Hell), was formed in a massive explosion in the start of an eruption in 1724. The eruption lasted 5 years and the water/clay mix in the bottom of the crater boiled for over a hundred years afterwards.
A bit of Seeweed at Hell's Mouth (Porth Neigwl). I shot this after going for a surf. I was hoping to get some shots of surfers but I was the only one there!
One of the many basalt cliffs of Hell's Gate National Park. This is the only park that I know of in Kenya that will let you walk or bike along the roads in the park.
