Pied-billed Grebe (Podilymbus podiceps) in Winter Plumage
Back-lit in low light this Grebe proved to be a difficult capture, but after a significant amount of fussing around in PhotoShop I managed to extract this image out of the murkiness. This being my first capture of an NJ "Hell Diver" in winter plumage, I decided to post it to document the sighting. - Cape May Lighthouse State Park, Cape May Point, New Jersey

Hell referring to Hells Canyon of course. This was what I did instead of the wakeboarding I was anticipating. It'll be good times though. Plans for the zip line are currently being drafted.

Inside the ground, in the most deep caves where all is darkness and fire dwells the fearsome creature: The HELL TROLL, that eat Trolls Orcs, Goblins, Dragons and any other living creature. His breath melts the steel, its tail is like white hot steel whips, his skin is like a rock and his horns can reduced to ashes his enemies.

Hell Roaring Lake on the way up to Imogene Lake. This area burned approximately a week after we were there.
Okay, not really hell. It's a steam vent, where superheated groundwater (mixed with sulfur) vents from deep underground. And being steam, it's hot - apparently people have sustained third-degree burns from falling into these holes (even though these two were only about a foot wide along the long axis).
