Located in Noboribetsu, Hokkaido. Hell Valley in Japanese is "Jigokudani". Named because it displays hot steam vents, sulfurous streams and other volcanic activities.
...and just who is Janet, anyway?

Promo shot for This is Hell at the Door in Dallas, TX. Photo was taken in the dressing room backstage during a 15 minute photo shoot midshow. The room was filled with a few couches, but this one looked the cleanest and had the least tags behind it. The ceiling was probably 7 feet, with pipes running through it at about 6 feet. I was all the way up against the wall with a 20mm, so there wasn't exactly much room.

Pourquoi ce titre ? Aucune idée, si ce n'est que je suis passé hier près du musée Rodin et que le fait que le chemin d'accès à cette porte soit pavé, sans doute de bonnes intentions, m'a fait trouver ce titre approprié
The colors around Bumpass Hell are amazing, extreme, and unnatural. I really liked this area with the pale blues of the pools, the oranges and grays of volcanic/sulphuric activity and the greens of the forest surrounding the area.
Nikon D70 and a Tokina 11-16 mm f2.8 lens. This is a three shot exposure merged in Photomatrix Pro. Base exposure is f/22 at 1/400 sec. [#18093]
Miles and miles of hiking through ancient forests exhausted the hell out of me, but left me inspired and yet invigorated at the same time. It was a wonderful trip in and around Opal Creek, Oregon for a few cold nights and cloudy-to-clear days. I would do it all again in a heartbeat, but I'd definitely buy better shoes for the journey.
if hell exists i am in it.
Hemingway has his classic moment in "The Sun Also Rises" when someone asks Mike Campbell how he went bankrupt. All he can say is, "Gradually, then suddenly." That's how depression hits. You wake up one morning, afraid that you're gonna live.
Today i worked with Bob then went to a bonfire at Codys and was the biggest lame ever because i am so depressed
