Heading from GE’s Stafford facility, the Collett Team travel via Ellesmere Port undertaking all transport, shipping and installation operations to safely deliver both of the 8 metre long cargoes to Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Two shipboard cranes slowly lifted a 410-ton Navy tugboat from the water onto a heavy-lift vessel Feb. 28 at the Port of Tacoma for its journey to a U.S. military base in Japan.
Built by Tacoma's J. M. Martinac Shipbuilding Corporation, the tug is named Puyallup in honor of the Northwest-based Puyallup Tribe of Indians. Learn more at portoftacoma.com/Page.aspx?cid=5530.
Registered in Netherlands. 14,784 gross tonnage she is 156.93 m X 25.6 m. Built in 2011 she has two tug boats on board as cargo. Don't know if they are coming or going. Found out later that the two boats on board are oil spill response vessels headed to Nanaimo, BC on Vancouver Island.

The harbor crane has a maximum load capacity of 250 tons. Loads over 250 tons will be dual loaded with help of an extra crane.
This crane gives Mammoet the oppertunity to (un)load heavy cargo's onto their own quay.
Heavylift Shorts SC-5 Belfast was a common sight around Dublin Airport. The giant, elegant and very quiet freighter regurally called on newspaper flights in the mid 1990s.

ALE was contracted to carry out the engineering, load-out and overall transport and installation management of the first jack up rig fabricated in Vietnam.
The scope of work also included the engineering and management of the float-off from the semi submersible vessel.
Watched closely and monitored by government officials including the Prime Minister, the project was a major milestone for Vietnam.
ALE Heavylift performed two moves from Siemens on Shields Road in Walkergate to Neptune Energy Park in Low Walker for loading onto a barge. ALE Unipower P547HNT is seen here on Shields Road in Walkergate.

Sabena Boeing 737-300 OO-SYE taxis to the terminal after arriving from Brussels. This aircraft went on to fly with Air Ukraine and Air Zena, Georgia. By 2011 it was with Expressair, Indonesia, as PK-TXH and during 2016 went to Sepehran Air as EP-FSB. Reported stored February 2024.
The interesting aircraft behind this facing the hangar is a Heavylift Short Belfast cargo plane - G-HLFT. This old aircraft, new to the RAF in 1969, was last reported at Cairns, Australia, for sale in 2009 - unless anyone has further info.
The Tristar in the foreground is Caledonian's G-BBAJ which left later for Las Palmas. It was delivered new to BA during 1975 and was leased to BA Airtours a few times before joining Caledonian in 1988. Reported by Airfleets to be stored in Abu Dhabi during 2002 (still there?) Ref 67-02
