Wishing all of our amazing friends a very Merry Christmas! I hope this finds you warm, well, and thinking some creative thoughts for Christmas, New Years, and beyond with your never ending vision! No tree or ornaments here but a bit of light from above to share for the glorious season. This is from one of the many road side lookouts at Paradise in Mount Rainier National Park, on the way to Reflection Lakes. It's a single image and I like the way that froze the wispy clouds in place. There sure is a lot of forest out there! I don't know what the name is of that smaller peak straight ahead. Rainier is way back to the right.

Cherry cider at Green Jeans, the Sante Fe Brewery taproom in Albuquerque. I thought it looked rather heavenly with the sunlight creating the halo around it. Certainly tasted divine.
Just decided to leave for a short spiritual retirement in my country house. No Internet, no newspapers, just some books and a warm fire, perfect antidote for stress. I really need this. Of course I'm taking my camera, too. See you soon!
In Thailand each day of the week is associated with a particular Buddha pose, and “your” pose is determined by which day of the week you were born. (The Thai zodiac puts as much importance on the day of the week – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. – as on the actual date or month). So everyone born on a Monday would have one special posture, while everyone born on a Thursday would have a different posture, etc. Thus, everyone in Thailand knows which day of the week they were born.
Looking across the Columbia River towards my home town of Hood River, Oregon, where kite surfers brave the winds and the glacier-covered volcanic peak of Mt. Hood rises more than 11,000 feet above the town.
