My attempt to shoot the Golden Gate Bridge in a different way

The Pale-headed Rosella is a medium-sized, broad-tailed parrot, with a pale head and all white, or blue and white cheek patches. The underbelly is mainly blue, with red under the tail. The back is yellow with dark flecks. The female is similar, though slightly duller, with an off-white underwing stripe.

Even though it is brightly coloured, the Pale-headed Rosella is very well camouflaged when feeding among leaves in the canopy of trees.

Grey-headed Swamphen ~ (Porphyrio poliocephalus)

The Grey-headed Swamphen is not a bird I get to see in Florida very often. They are more common in Southern Florida. It was nice seeing this one on the trip to get the Dark-billed Cuckoo. Taken at Wakodahatchee. They remind me of a Purple Gallinule that has been on a high protein diet and hitting the gym obsessively.

Thanks for visiting!

And now, with CoVid, twice the fear!

Of course, this happens regularly, twice an hour, so the crew has lots of experience in "turning around". :-)

Also 'Head's up" as I will be having surgery tomorrow and won't be posting much for a while...I will look at your posts and comment as I can, because they are too good to miss! :-)

Now, something to think about...

Why didn't the sun go to college?

Because he already has a million degrees!

Take care, everyone!

The Yellow-headed Warbler (Teretistris fernandinae) is one of two species of bird in the Cuban warbler family Teretistridae. It is endemic to western Cuba.

Dent Head Viaduct was built between 1869 and 1875 for the Midland Railway Company and forms part of the picturesque Settle to Carlisle Line. The viaduct is built from massive blocks of Dent marble and crosses over the quarry that produced it.

*[Yes, the Anhinga is in the 'cormorant-family'. Anhingas have

straight-bills, and double-crested cormorants have hooked-bills.]

*[The Anhinga lives in shallow, slow-moving, sheltered waters

and uses nearby perches and banks for drying and sunning.]

*[It 'bobs' and 'weaves' its head in somewhat of an

'Anhinga Dance'! It's fun to see. Thanks for looking.]

Stunning tanager: mostly green with reddish head. Some populations have electric blue underparts, others entirely green. Similar to Rufous-winged Tanager but always has green wings. Found in pairs or small flocks in forest and edges, often in mixed feeding flocks from midstory to the canopy. Feeds on fruit.

Spent last weekend in the Yorkshire Dales it was cool dark and rainy so the camera was not much in use. Saw a great many spring lambs and not a decent image. Fortunately had a shot I quite liked from a previous Spring in the Dales

Macro Mondays - Double Exposure

Driving though Skye, the moody skies kept on coming, then some sunlight broke through. There was no particular point of focal interst to weight the viewers eye to, so I used some movement to convey the feeling the light was evoking, as it slowly swept its way across the vista.
