A low percentage of HDR has been used here in combining 3 different exposures (through Photomatix) - just enough to keep it the way I saw it

I'm not a fan of coffee but the 'Toilet' sign on the far-right just seems a little harsh for this well-known coffee house... :P

New edit of unpublished HDR shot of one of the surgeries at Beelitz. Sadly vandalized and with lots of graffiti.
History of the place: Beelitz-Heilstätten west of Berlin, is an amazing complex of 60 abandoned and derelict hospital buildings. The oldest buildings are from 1898 drawn by architect Heino Schmieden.
The complex became a war hospital during WW1. In 1916 Adolf Hitler was recovering here after being shot in the leg in the Battle of the Somme.
After WW2 the hospital was occupied by Soviet forces. They left in 1995.

5XP HDR shot of the Marilyn Monroe statue in Chicago, Illinois.
The new statue of Marilyn Monroe in her famous pose from the movie "The Seven Year Itch" was buzzing with activity as people happily snapped photos away.
I setup so that Marilyn was almost face to face with the Moon on a cloudless-night until... a monster cloud decided to appear and smother the sky! I waited so long for the cloud to disappear that I chatted with others who came over to see my vantage point and even played a versus game of Angry Birds with someone I just met (I won, lol). Finally, the cloud moved but the Moon moved as well!

The day after the night before. A walk round Greenwich where we stayed before we got the train home. This is the Greenwich foot tunnel which was crying out for HDR shots, although I'm not sure I quite got it right in any of these.

Single Raw HDR shot of the fireworks show above Sleeping Beauty Castle in Hong Kong Disneyland.
For what Disneyland lacks in sheer terror near Halloween (besides the awesomely large crowds, lol), Disneyland makes up for with creativity, fun and excitement. Thrilled to see the Halloween parade, special attraction decorations, and of course, the laser/light and fireworks finale!

Stone Mountain HDR shot reprocessed with Picturenaut. The first shot I don’t remember if I posted it here but it was done with Photomatix and at the time I didn’t know how to use Photomatix that well – some people like it but this is what I really wanted from the shot. It was such a beautiful morning with the sun rising into a wonderful sky and casting shadows on this mountain on the Alaska Highway. Shot taken in British Columbia, Canada. Just looked – I did post the first effort it in the Alaska Highway Set. On the first one I had used Fractalious on the sky because the clouds came out too blurry with three shots – they were moving pretty fast. On this one I masked the clouds back in from the middle exposure shot to get more detail. The detail in the mountain and the colors in the mountain are so much better and more realistic that the one I did with Photomatix.

HDR Shot of the "House of Sonsbeek"
The "House of Sonsbeek" is a villa in the city park of Arnhem. By the population of Arnhem it is also referred to as "The White Villa" or "Villa Sonsbeek".
The building has a rich history and is being used as a restaurant at the moment and it is designated by the local authorities as an official wedding location.
Sorry for "re-uploading" the picture but I did some more post-processing which I think made the picture more valuable and therefore I decided to take the old one offline and post it again.
5XP HDR shot of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan, New York.
Initially, I disliked the construction scaffolding attached to the facade of the Cathedral but I've grown to appreciate it since it highlights the base via the additional light. Didn't know that the roof of the Cathedral also forms a Cross when seen from above~ gotta see if I can find that POV one day!

I did try to make an HDR of this using some free software, but it was a resounding failure! Lots of turquoise patches appeared from nowhere. Clearly I have a lot to learn if I'm to do it successfully and I have a new respect for people that process HDR shots. Instead I just brought through some of the stone detail in Photoshop; perhaps not enough, but I wanted to try to keep it natural looking.
Maybe I'm just not destined for proper HDR work. It always seemed a little excessive for me and my main interest is getting stuff done in camera first. That said, I'd love to have at least given it a go. So if anyone can recommend some free software they enjoy using, I'd be delighted to hear about it in the comments.
For the moment, it's all manual! If you're viewing it on a laptop can achieve a sort of after-market HDR effect by rocking forward and backward and letting the screen bring the highlights out.
This shot is from a couple of weekends back hiking in the highlands, after my panicked realisation that climbing munros in November demanding technique as well as stamina. That curtailed a six top day to a single top day and meant we were down in time to take some pictures. It's a super place, though I'm still not sure about the seaweed through the foreground. Perhaps it adds a little quirkiness and sense of individuality.
Hope everyone is well and having a great week, as always.
Update: Thanks for all the kind comments. Interesting to see the majority of people prefer this non-HDR. Very cool and unexpected feedback, which I really appreciate.
Non-HDR shot taken just in front of where the previously posted HDR shot was taken.
I know I'm overdoing the one-armed shots of me in the goggles ;-) , but if you look closely at my jacket you can see the snow "snowblasting" me on a horizontal plane (was probably 60-70 k/h winds with gusts higher than that).
In the *trail* on the Annupuri side of Niseko Hokkaido, Japan.
The forecast for this morning wasn't very promising so we decided to stick close to the car. Moab is famous for dinosaur fossils so we wanted to check them out. We went to Mill Canyon to see the Dinosaur Trail - we bounced along a short rutted dirt road with sandy washes - glad we had the Outback. The trail itself was ok but not as good as we expected. There were many signs describing what we were looking at but you really need a vivid imagination to actually see the fossils. After that we decided to head out to the Fisher Towers, reached on Utah 128, a very scenic road that heads NE out of Moab toward Castle Valley and Colorado. Fisher Towers were great but we knew we were not going to have much of a sunset (when the Towers turn bright red) so we checked out some of the side roads in the area. Great choice. The first stop was a boat launch on the Colorado River. Great views and the clouds were ideal for HDR shots. Next stop was near the Onion Creek (?) Road. We found an equine trail and Heather darted off to a nearby rise for a better view. Another great choice. By then the wind was picking up, the temps dropping, so we decided to head to the Moab Brewery for the chicken wings happy hour. Not a bad day at all!
I took these photos in early March 2020.
It's a panorama, 5 HDR shots, taken from the Tower of the monastery.
The monastery of St. Dionyssios is located on Mt. Olympus at an altitude of 900 m, and is 18 km from Litochoro. It is built at a naturally fortified position between two small streams, which become on - the Enipeas. Today, the Monastery can be reached through a detour in the forest road, concluding at Prionia, where the climb for the highest peak of Mt. Olympus begins.
According to historical sources, the Monastery was founded in the first half of the 16th century by Saint Dionyssios, and was dedicated to the Holy Trinity. During its 400 years of existence, it constituted a strong religious and economic power in the area. The Monastery owned forestland, lumber facilities, water-mills, flour-mills and animals. Since the beginning of our century, it has not been operating properly, with a total of only 7 monks. However, the Monastery was very popular with the natives of Central and Western Macedonia, as a place of worship, as well as to the mountain climbers.
In 1943 it was considered by the Germans to be the base of the resistance groups of the area, which was the reason why they destroyed it both by means of bombing and detonation. Since then, the new Monastery has been based in Metochi, the existence of which is evident since 1953 under the name "Skala", near Litochoro.
The worship of Saint Dionyssios, its founder, to whom miracles have been attributed, as well as its privileged opposition on the mountain of the gods of Greek Mythology assign, to the monastery a uniqueness by which it attracts many Greek and foreign visitors.
