An HDR shot of the grain elevator in the Hamlet of Dorothy Alberta. Dorothy is often referred to as a Ghost Town, however some people do live and work there. Personally I think it just a few tumble weeds short of qualifying. ;)
A HDR shot of the Houston skyline as light from the sunset was illuminating the clouds above Downtown.

Taken on Saturday 16th April 2016 of Chester Cathedral. This is a 7x bracketed HDR shots (-3 to +3) taken with a Canon 5d Mark III with a Canon 11-24mm (at 11mm). Each of the 7x shots was processed using the Adobe Lightroom HDR merge feature.

Another HDR shot with my new lens - I wasn't sure how well this would come out being a pretty much level view, but I find it quite pleasing.
Explored on 22 March 2010!
Watching and capturing the sunrise at Spurn Point, Yorkshire, England. This is a 5 exposure HDR, shot from a tripod obviously.
The endless amount of groynes and remains of old sea defences and jetties are heaven for a photographer ;-) I did lots of long exposures, but couldn't resist doing a few HDR's as well. What can I say? Old habits die hard...
A shot that taught me not to be afraid to use relatively high ISO values, when the circumstances call for it ... It was a rather difficult shot given the lighting conditions of the surrounding environment and the fact that the use of camera's flash was strictly prohibited in the area, but the final result as you can see was not at all bad !!!
I needed a sharp shot ... I wanted these amazing transparent creatures to hung around the darkness as if they were self - luminous ... Yet the truth is that the light that passes through them and reach your eyes is coming from one lamp that is located at the bottom of the aquarium .... All these amazing creatures had to do with it, is to let it pass through their transparent texture ...
NIKON D90 with NIKON Nikkor DX 18-55 lens, manual mode, shutter speed 1/8 s, f 4, ISO 1250, Focal Length 24 mm, no tripod, flash did not fire, this is not an HDR shot ...

5XP HDR shot of Sakura trees in Tokyo, Japan.
This image was taken near a tranquil cemetery in Roppongi, Tokyo. Fortunately, Sakura (Cherry Blossom) flowers were still in late-bloom during my visit. I tested out several textures on this image to try and convey petals floating in the air and a mossy road.

Another HDR shot from my archive. Taken about a month ago when this special glass was still alive and not broken to pieces (read the story here). So in this picture with that beautiful sunset Mr. Glass is not the leading man, but at least a wonderful supporting actor. :-)

I tried an HDR (high dynamic range) photo once a year ago, but for some reason never pursued it. But it seems that more of and more of the "interesting" photos that I see on Flickr are HDR shots, so I decided to give it another try. The first of these HDR shots were taken from the rooftop of my apartment building at sunset, on the Sunday evening of 4th of July weekend. Subsequent shots (including this one) have been taken out on the street, from the terrace of my apartment at night, and walking through Central Park at mid-day...
This photo is one of a group of ten that I took in the "Sheep Meadow" area at the south end of Central Park. I knew that the trees, the grass, the buildings, and the sky/clouds would be stationary, and I figured that I could pick a time/scene where most, if not all, of the picnickers and sunbathers were reasonably stationary. But there were always a few people in motion, especially the young kids; and though the "ghosting" effect of their movement is sometimes interesting, I think I've concluded that it gets annoying after a while. But aside from that, it is possible to take these HDR sequences (which, in the case of these Sheep Meadow shots, involve the merging of 5 separate images into one composite) in a handheld fashion, without a tripod.
I still have a *lot* to learn about this stuff, but even as a first attempt I'm staggered by what the tonal-mapping software programs (Photomatix, in my case) are capable of doing...

An HDR shot of the stunning font which is used for baptisms, inside Salisbury Cathedral. The water has a glass like appearance reflecting the ceiling of the cathedral and constantly flows from the four corners.

An HDR shot of the inside of this iconic building.
The Leeds Corn Exchange is a Victorian building in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, which was designed by Cuthbert Brodrick and completed in 1864. Designed by Cuthbert Brodrick, a Hull architect best known for Leeds Town Hall, this Grade I listed structure was completed in 1862 and opened on 28 July 1863. The dome design was based on that of the Bourse de commerce of Paris by François-Joseph Bélanger and François Brunet, completed in 1811. Leeds Corn Exchange is now just one of three corn exchanges in the country which operates in its traditional capacity as a centre for trade, albeit no longer for trading in corn.
HDR shot early on Christmas Eve as the sun was rising. 3 exposures +/- 2ev with a tripod and the Sigma 10-20mm.
Here's a HDR shot processed with the excellent Oloneo PhotoEngine. I am pretty impressed with the results I get from this software. it is still in beta but is quite stable.
Shot this from the Waterloo bridge which gives a good view of the Hungerford bridge, London Eye, and the Parliament.

HDR shot (EV -3/-2/-1/+1/+2) of an airport walkway.
I combined several shots for each EV to remove the travellers passing through the picture in Photoshop CS 3. In total I used about 10 pictures (out of the thirty or so shots I took). Some contrast and clarity added via Lightroom after HDR and tonemapping in Photomatix Pro.
Updated (06/03/08): Finalised with some retouching of dust and HDR artefacts in PS.

Apparently, this was on Flickr's explore but most probably was buried by the avalanche of great pictures as it only received 5 faves. Hahahahah. Oh, it appeared on Explore only about 30 minutes ago in the middle of the pack.
Chester is very beautiful city and its even better at night time around Christmas. The above image was taken as a 7x HDR shot processed using Adobe Lightroom and the new Photomatix v5.0 using the exposure blending option (to give the most natural HDR shot possible).

Longed to visit this place - no majestic sunset due to smog/clouds but happy with blue hour!

Oct. 2, 2007. This is an earlier view of this image, before that fog came in and still lit by the setting sun. I hadn't really played with the sunny versions from this series yet, but a call for some Maine lighthouse images landed in my lap yesterday and so I found myself gathering up some of my lighthouse shots from there.
This is a blend of two tripod-mounted exposures: one to hold detail in the sky and the far horizon, and the other for the lighthouse, rocks and foreground water. It is a manual blend done with layers and layer masks and not an HDR shot. Larger.
