HDR shot of Millennium Bridge and Sage with a Tog that stood far too long in one place (at least I cloned out the camera bag)
A few days late for a Halloween picture, but have been *busy* with work given all the economic bad news that has been pouring forth these past two months. A small miracle I was able to take, much less post some pics last week!
Non-HDR shot of Travus putting on his best face at the Mall we hit last weekend for a Halloween party.

7XP HDR shot of the business district in downtown San Francisco, CA.
Awesome view of downtown San Francisco with main attractions, including: the Transamerica Pyramid in center, flanked by Alcatraz Island and Coit Tower to the right and Golden Gate Bridge to the left! The weather was great that early evening and fog didn't step in until much later.
** Many landmarks were especially lit up in Orange to support the San Francisco Giants baseball team, which were in the World Series at that time~ and went on to eventually win! **

I took several HDR shots on the waterfront in Louisville Ky and on the Indiana side of the Ohio River. These were my first attempts at HDR at night. I think all in all they turned out pretty good for first try. There not Stuckincustoms but they'll do.

HDR shot of Muppets Vision 3D at hollywood studios. I have always tried getting this shot for a few years but when I get home it always to just miss the mark after editing. I'm really happy with the end edit on this photo.
I did the editing in Lightroom and Photomatix HDR. Camera just a77 II and 8mm rokinon fisheye.
HDR Shot I took at the Historical Marker on US 62, a few miles East of Altus Oklahoma on August 31st 2008.

This is a Six Corners alley that I like (clean for an alley, no?) and I tried out an HDR shot. I never use the special scenes on my cameras, I just adjust the shutter or the aperture, but this shot was a surprise. This alley backlit with blinding sunlight. I mean, it was hard to see, so I'm really surprised at how fantastic this shot came out. Now I'm all about HDR shots. I'm probably bothering people with them.

Below is an excerpt from my travel blog. Cheers.
As I mentioned before, Sydney is full of light. Everything is illuminated in some way shape or form, making night photography very interesting. I am told they filmed most of the first movie in the Matrix series throughout downtown Sydney. Not only was it much cheaper at the time, but also downtown Sydney strikingly resembles most downtown American cities.
I shot this while walking back from the Sydney harbor. I looked up and the light from the street level really seemed to extend up to the sky. Everyone walking by kept stopping to look up to see what I was photographing. When you shoot at night as with this shot, you really have some long exposure times. Some of the HDR shots needed to make this image required exposure times of up to 30 seconds. This is how the lights at the street level become so funky. The bright light is a result of cars passing by within that long exposure time. I enhanced it a bit through masking in photoshop but the lights at the bottom really give the photo extra dynamism and movement.

This was a 3-image, handheld HDR shot -- taken from an area near the southwest corner of Central Park, looking east towards Fifth Avenue.

***************************************
On Nov 6, 2009 a group of roughly 150 members of the NYC Digital Photography Meetup Group (which comprises some 2,556 members, according to its website) assembled at the southeast corner of New York's Central Park for a "meetup" that consisted of a walk through Central Park to capture the fall foliage. A few people knew each other from previous meetups, but most of us were there for the first time, and knew only that we were in the midst of a lot of people with "serious" cameras. Introductions were made, hands were shaken, cameras were compared, but with rare exceptions, names were quickly forgotten -- except for lyman91, who served as the organizer for the afternoon's activities. After all, it wasn't a college mixer; we were there to get some nice photographs...
Once we got started, we walked past the pond in the southeast corner of the park, up to a picturesque bridge, and then along the southern edge of the park until we reached another picturesque bridge by the southwest corner of the park. From there, we ventured north, past Tavern on the Green, past the Sheep Meadow, up to the 72nd Street entrance (where many photos were dutifully snapped of Strawberry Fields, and the Dakota apartment building where John Lennon lived at the time of his death). We then walked around parts of the boat pond, and a little further north into the Ramble ... at which point, the late-afternoon shadows were dark enough that I decided to call it a day and head on home.
As someone observed early in the walk, "fall foliage" in New York City is not the same as it is up in Vermont and New Hampshire. There are no fiery reds, no mountainsides of bright orange trees. Our trees are more subdued: there were a few bright yellow ones (don't ask me what kind they were; I have no idea), but most of the trees were "rust-colored" at best.
Still, it was a pleasant walk; the temperature was a little cool, but the skies were a brilliant blue, and there wasn't a cloud to be seen. I took fewer photos than I would have expected -- only about 300 -- and I'll upload the "keepers" throughout the week, as I edit them and put them in reasonable shape... and I'll look forward to another photo meetup sometime in the future. Next time, hopefully I will remember a few names...

Here is a new HDR shot of a puddle after a rainy day in Berlin. This picture is based on around 3 different exposures that I blended together in Photoshop, processed as HDR shots in Lightroom and shot with my Canon EOS 40D.

5XP HDR shot of the Abraham Lincoln memorial statue in Washington, D.C.
It was a fantastic night to shoot - not too hot as Summer was drawing to a close. I setup with my tripod the best I could amongst the hordes of visitors... I only realized that the tripod police can sometimes cause difficulties until after the fact of visiting the memorial...

The forecast for this morning wasn't very promising so we decided to stick close to the car. Moab is famous for dinosaur fossils so we wanted to check them out. We went to Mill Canyon to see the Dinosaur Trail - we bounced along a short rutted dirt road with sandy washes - glad we had the Outback. The trail itself was ok but not as good as we expected. There were many signs describing what we were looking at but you really need a vivid imagination to actually see the fossils. After that we decided to head out to the Fisher Towers, reached on Utah 128, a very scenic road that heads NE out of Moab toward Castle Valley and Colorado. Fisher Towers were great but we knew we were not going to have much of a sunset (when the Towers turn bright red) so we checked out some of the side roads in the area. Great choice. The first stop was a boat launch on the Colorado River. Great views and the clouds were ideal for HDR shots. Next stop was near the Onion Creek (?) Road. We found an equine trail and Heather darted off to a nearby rise for a better view. Another great choice. By then the wind was picking up, the temps dropping, so we decided to head to the Moab Brewery for the chicken wings happy hour. Not a bad day at all!
I took these photos in early March 2020.
An HDR shot this time taken from the same vantage as the previous shot, but with a different camera and wider lens as you can see. Of the Sunrise this time.

Something little bit different from me.
This photo is HDR of couple seperate images (differant exposures)
I know lot of people don't like the exagerated, saturated colors from HDR shots.
But I think its bit interesting, and like I said, different.
