A HDR shot of 3 x 25mm cctv images of the view from Bench Tor from last night ... edited in photoshop to try and bring out some sharpness that was lost in the sun flare ...
When is an HDR shot not an HDR shot?
When the photographer was too lazy to carry a tripod and neglected to take multiple exposures.
I think this shot could really have benefited from HDR treatment to bring out both the shadow and illuminated areas ... but I failed to take multiple exposures of the scene.
So I did what I could manually: selecting, brightening and manipulating different parts of this SHQ.jpg image by hand.

3 exposure HDR.
Shot from the Bunkyo civic center observatory.
This wasn't particularly easy to take due to the observatory being busy (hard to get a window spot) and the fact that they do not allow tripods in the observatory (security guys come around and tell you off in Japanese).
In the end I managed to balance the camera pointed in the right direction (on the folded over camera strap) and then triggered the 3 exposures remotely.
If anyone else goes there to shoot HDR then I recommend taking a camera bag (or even better a small bean bag) to balance your camera on.

Chester is very beautiful city and its even better at night time around Christmas. The above image was taken as a 7x HDR shot processed using Adobe Lightroom and the new Photomatix v5.0 using the exposure blending option (to give the most natural HDR shot possible).
Non-HDR shot taken with my trusty waterproof Pentax Optio W60 of Austin playing in one of the *many* pools here at the Pacific Islands Club (PIC) in Guam.
***Bandwidth here in Guam is unsurprisingly *slow*. Am averaging ~ 55kb/sec speeds, so am gonna have to wait until were back this weekend to catchup on everyone's great photostreams.

First post of an in-camera HDR shot. The new Pentax K-7 takes 3 shots with one shutter release and combines them into one picture using camera firmware. Interesting in that the mirror stays up the entire time too, as it doesn't when I'm shooting under 'auto-bracket'.
This shot was using 'HDR 2' which is a stronger form over 'HDR 1'. No Photomatix was used in this, I went straight to Photoshop and have to say I'm impressed with the results and will probably start shooting more often this way.

HDR shot rattled off quickly whilst waiting for push back at Liverpool airport. Distortion and reflection from window glass apparent in bottom left and top right, but I don't think it detracts too much from the shot. The sky is the best bit I reckon. Wasted a few moments of the deadtime you spend whilst travelling...
HDR shot for MY my friend KAWASAKI NINJA ZX6R i took 3 different Exposure and merged them in photomatix then some edits in lightroom .

This HDR shot was taken in the fast eroding Castner Glacier Cave. The cave was around 300 ft just one month ago, but now it is around 100 ft. By next summer it will be gone.

HDR. Shot from Coronado; looking across San Diego Bay to downtown San Diego. Iconic shot. Many people have this in their collection. The sky was interesting on this night.

HDR shot. Consists of three exposures taken with a Canon T3i DSLR and Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM, at 37mm, with the following settings: f/22, 0.5 s, and ISO 200; f/22, 1/8 s, and ISO 200; and f/22, 2 s, and ISO 200.

An HDR shot from inside Calke Abbey. A fantastic building that has mostly been untouched over the years. A little eerie for some, but I loved it ;)
HDR shot of the view outside of the hotel in Yokohama, Japan. It was really cool how this long bridge led to some fun island with a huge mall and a Ferris wheel.
This one came out pretty messy, but there's a reason for that. I took it from high up, from my hotel room window. It was freaking cold so there was frost and water on the window. I attempted to get rid of a lot of the random blobs of stuff, but you could still see some left...

The NVIDIA headquarters in Santa Clara contacted us and asked us to send some photos of the Helsinki office. So, I went around the place with Jufo and my fisheye and took a series of HDR shots. It was also fun to document the old office (the building's from 1905 BTW) as we're moving to a brand new one in Kamppi in just two months' time.

Life is *so* much better on the weekends now inside our little RV. Not only do we have more fun doing things away from the city, but we *sleep* better as the beds are more comfortable and *larger* than the ones at home!
The *biggest* advantage of vacationing in an RV versus the normal rent-car-stay-in-hotel, is that we don't have to pre-plan our trip in advance. All we need to know is the general direction of where we want to go, as we have no idea what we're gonna do and where we're gonna stay until about 30min before hand! Makes every day a happy adventure!
