A HDR shot of the mountains of Martuljek group... Shots were taken while descending from the mountain pass Vršič.
Another HDR shot from my visit to Carshalton Ponds. I like the symmetry in this one. Now if I only had the means and opportunity to visit other beautiful locations what I could do.
Another from the ranch shots this weekend. This is an 7 exposure HDR shot from a fisheye lens.
See rust flakes.

Forgive my return to Grand Canyon photos . . . I'm sure it will happen again from time to time.
I was just backing up photos to an external drive and had to stop and play with some of them . . . and I chose to share this one. Basically, it is a slightly tweaked HDR shot - actually I had to desaturate the colors because they were so vivid and unreal. I just had to find the best crop, and this is what I came up with. One reason I love this shot is the inclusion of four planes of interest . . . the tree and snow on the rim . . . the rock and trees and snow on the canyon walls . . . the almost monotone inner canyon . . . and the steely cold sky . . . all in all, not a bad shot for a "bad weather" day at the canyon . . .
Moody HDR shot taken from 'The Study'. Check this place out if you can or haven't already - it gives such an amazing panorama of this fantastic glen! There's a great promotory near the old climber's hut opposite the waterfall just above the gorge.
Panoramic HDR shot of the most beautiful gorge in northwestern Slovenia in the municipalities of Gorje and Bled, four kilometers northwest of Bled. Carved by the Radovna River, it is the continuation of the Radovna Valley.
HDR shot made up of two different shots, one to capture the train coming to me and another for the one going far from me. Both shots were taken as long exposure of 46 seconds. HDR was managed with Enfuse. Haida ND3.0 filter (10 steps) was used. Source shots were initially processed with Darktable creating the basic canvas for AdobeRGB with logarithm option for unbreak plugin.
Additional plugins like Tone Curve, Highpass filters, Local contrast, Lowpass filters, Haze removal, some denoise plugins, and others were applied.
Dry Land Bridge on KY90
Whitley County, KY
3 shot HDR
This was taken last month on Thanksgiving evening next to the Dry Land Bridge. The trees there in the foreground are in the Daniel Boone National Forest and those mountains are in Tennessee (I think). This location is a few miles east of Cumberland Falls State Resort Park. I don't do very many HDR shots, but I kind of like how this one turned out. Hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas!
This is obviously an HDR shot of a Hotrod engine in a Chevy BelAir. The last few HDR shots I've posted I have been working on a more natural look but for stuff like this I just can't help pushing the envelope. This is single raw exposure converted to 3 and edited in Photomatix. I shot this at a local car show. Living right off Route 66 has it's perks. :)

Tilt-shift practice
(-1° tilt, +7mm shift, bracketed HDR shot, full frame)
Funny, just noticed that camera switched f-stop for bracketing rather than exposure values so it's actually f/8-16...
3xp HDR shot (although the HDR is somewhat muddled due to the extra processing I did afterwards in Photoshop). Crouching under the apple tree. Rejected because... there's a bit of ghosting due to the branches shaking, and I just preferred the other shot :-)
Another HDR shot. I learned the hard way last year in the Grand Tetons that sage brush and other dried-out vegetation burns out unless underexposed, so now I automatically take three bracketed exposures and either blend them together with a graduated transition, or use masks for simple canyon shapes, or HDR. There's color in those sages, it just has to be brought out. Taken along the Colorado Riverway near Moab, Utah, on Jeff Clow's Dirt Cheap Photo Tour.
Its a lot of fun to go back to some older Pictures and use new processing software and skills - I shot this one last year in the fall. This is a 32 bit HDR shot produced with Photomatix - The 32 bit workflow will give you a very clean picture without any tone mapping or compression as it is done in Photomatix directly. The result provides a very good (and huge) baseline to work with in ACR and Photoshop - so this is the work flow here. Doing HDR at night is some kind of hard and you never know what you will get - think this one turnes out to be very nice. (Picture shot with my Canon 40D)

Another HDR shot. This time 7 shots combined in Photomatix and then finished in Lightroom. Pushed the processing to the max in this one and tried several edits. This B&W conversion with a heavy vignette was the winner for me, a more moodier image than the original.
A HDR shot looking across to Grasmere shore with breaking sun on the bank. I like the small island the light makes and the overall HDR effect. I know HDR isn't for every picture (and I certainly dont always use it) but it seemed the most effective here. I find its always worth taking bracketed exposure just in case.

La dedico a mi amigo Pedro Lopez.
Non HDR shot, I use Cokin filter X121S+X121L.

5XP HDR shot of an Aston Martin DBS in Tokyo, Japan.
This image (like Number 7) was taken in a car park in Japan. I guess collectible vehicles go hand-in-hand with unique license numbers, eh? :D

5XP HDR shot from the streets of Roppongi in Tokyo, Japan.
Found an interesting angle to take an image of the sunset from street-level that wasn't directly in-your-face, so to speak. Lamp posts and overhead wires don't really factor into my decision-process since it is what it is. Funnily enough, a Corvette came cruising through as I was setting up and only noticed that I captured it after the fact, lol Nothing quite like cruising around the streets on a beautiful afternoon!

This is a 5 exposure HDR shot made with Photomatix. This shot was taken maybe three quarters of a mile from the Red Springs visitors area parking lot. From there, there are several easy walking trails that take you up into the hills for a closer look. Most of my other shots of this area have been taken roadside, but for these I went closer to show the detail of these amazing hills. The sky that day also co-operated nicely with the dramatic clouds.
This shot really needs to be seen large on black to be appreciated, or download the full size and check it out full screen. Makes for a nice wall paper :)
Non HDR shot as bro and the kids take in the view of the main tank at Sea Paradise in Yokohama.
Japan.
This is a 3 shot HDR shot made up of 120,60, and 30 second exposures to bring some movement to the clouds. 7835_6_7 b
That's a combined stitched panorama and hdr shot taken from the balcony of our apartment. It's made out of 3 x 14 = 42 single images ;)
But if you take a close look you'll a lot of errors. Sometimes the stitching is not perfect and some parts there are some strange noisy distortions. Don't no why. Maybe I should use a tripod next time ;)
I also don't like the the street is so strongly cropped in the center. But I made not enough pictures in the lower part... :(
Anyway, I hope you like it at least a little bit...

This HDR shot is from a I trip I took to Bar Harbor, Maine, a while back. They really do have the best lobster there. This photo was featured in the Baltimore Sun newspaper Travel section shortly after I returned from my trip to Maine.
HDR shot created from one hand held shot at Canary Wharf underground station. Processed in Lightroom and Photomatix.
Really falling behind with this years 52, still have to do weeks 20, 22, 23, 24 & 25.
I have been intending to explore HDR photography for some time and as I crossed underneath the pier to take a picture from on top of the pier. The long draw of underneath the pier and the diverse tones in the shot caught my eye to try my first HDR shot. I went on to the pier and after taking the dawn shot I had intended this morning I returned to under the pier to play with HDR.

A cold and frosty sunday moning back in January. Finally got around to processing this HDR shot
Another HDR shot with my new lens - I wasn't sure how well this would come out being a pretty much level view, but I find it quite pleasing.
HDR shot of a church in the wicklow mountains.
