After a day of minimal success on CN's Champaign Sub, I caught 224 at Centralia with an SD70ACC leading. Having to drive back west to STL anyhow, the chase was on. Here is shot #2 of the chase as 224 flies through Posey, IL.

Took this from my hotel balcony during the Galveston vacation.
Some of you may have noticed that I haven't posted for a while. Here's what was going on
I had tonsil cancer. They removed all my teeth and gave me 6 weeks of radiation and chemo. I almost lost my ability to talk. I couldn't swallow or taste anything. They stuck a feeding tube in my stomach and sent me home. After 3 years I still can't taste food, well a little, but I can tell if it's hot or cold. They pulled the feeding tube out and sent me home. Is that crazy or what? I asked the doctor if she was sure, she said, "you'll be fine" I wasn't. Everything I ate or drank came right out via the hole. So this week I went back and they put me under and put a clamp down my throat after doing something to widen it and clamped off the hole. My body keeps reminding me that there is a foreign object in there and it's very uncomfortable for now. I'm in a little pain which I'm taking over the counter Tylenol. I'm really glad to be rid of the tube and I'll feel much better when my body accepts the clamp. I feel like this may have been the first time the doctor ever removed a tube. She wasn't my regular doctor. The VA just picked a random doctor at a local hospital

House sparrow in our redbud tree happy to find some of the seed I throw out on our front lawn after a couple inches of wet snow overnight. Have to take these photos with our front door cracked open just enough to get my lens in so not always the sharpest. Plus very slow shutter speed for my non-stabilized lens.

So today 8th of April is Ditte's birthday (born in 2004). I can't believe she is 12 already. Time has passed so quickly!

Rufus, is one happy dog and I'm hoping that his return will stop Izzy from escaping every time I open the patio door for Rufus. Not hoping for much am I ?!!

I met many beautiful people in my lifetime until now, sometimes the contact is fleeting, sometimes longer. I saved up a few encounters and called them "Happy people" because I suspect they were, on the moment of being photographed.
