I know its a few days late but Sophie & I wanted to wish all our Flickr friends a Happy New Year, may it bring you the things that make you truly happy and may you not feel too much sadness. We have been a little remiss in posting photos during the last few months, its been a busy time and hopefully in 2015 we will have more stories to tell. Sophie is still spending her weeks with Grandma and weekends with me but this will soon change when she moves up to our new home (if only her season would hurry up)

Mila is happy at outside seating for Fellini's Pizza. She is 17 weeks old today and 4 months on Monday.
Seen in happier times, when Gainsborough's Guildhall was still intact - it has now, very sadly, been totally demolished.
Nearest the camera is the Georgian splendour of Elswitha Hall, named after Elswitha, wife of King Alfred the Great, and from the Gainii tribe who inhabited the area. They were, by tradition married in the Town in 868. Elswitha hall, built in 1759, is Grade 2* listed. The rather ugly red brick extension, closest to the camera, was added in the 1990s by the Doctor's Surgery which occupies Elswitha Hall.
Just beyond is the former Gainsborough Urban Distric Council offices known as the Guildhall, opened in 1966. The Guildhall is the work of Local architect Neil Taylor, it was, as reported above, demolished in October 2013.
