Posting this a bit super quick as I was only there this morning.
I have just spent a week in the Lake District being totally rained on. I do have one or two photos to post but it wasn't the best, it was just a massive recce really!
So I was very happy to be here this morning amidst some epic Autumn conditions.
For the first time in nearly a decade, the Providence & Worcester's newest motive power arrivals' came dressed in G&W's 250th Bicentennial scheme. Two of three arrived at the railroad early this year dressed in the new Red, White and Blue celebratory scheme for the nations' 250th Birthday. "Lady Liberty" GP39-2 2325 leads Worcester based local WX-2 south on the former New Haven Norwich mainline in Auburn, MA on May 1, 2026.

So today 8th of April is Ditte's birthday (born in 2004). I can't believe she is 12 already. Time has passed so quickly!

Took this from my hotel balcony during the Galveston vacation.
Some of you may have noticed that I haven't posted for a while. Here's what was going on
I had tonsil cancer. They removed all my teeth and gave me 6 weeks of radiation and chemo. I almost lost my ability to talk. I couldn't swallow or taste anything. They stuck a feeding tube in my stomach and sent me home. After 3 years I still can't taste food, well a little, but I can tell if it's hot or cold. They pulled the feeding tube out and sent me home. Is that crazy or what? I asked the doctor if she was sure, she said, "you'll be fine" I wasn't. Everything I ate or drank came right out via the hole. So this week I went back and they put me under and put a clamp down my throat after doing something to widen it and clamped off the hole. My body keeps reminding me that there is a foreign object in there and it's very uncomfortable for now. I'm in a little pain which I'm taking over the counter Tylenol. I'm really glad to be rid of the tube and I'll feel much better when my body accepts the clamp. I feel like this may have been the first time the doctor ever removed a tube. She wasn't my regular doctor. The VA just picked a random doctor at a local hospital
