Believe it or not, despite my interest for photography, I have never really recorded anything. This is my, more or less, first attempt at a video. And it is certainly my first attempt at recording fireworks. So bear with me with the bad quality.

I like to post fireworks photos on New Years Eve. It somehow seems appropriate to me. But our town has cancelled Canada Day fireworks for the past two years, and I am, therefore, impeded. However, I have this one from 2018, taken from our bedroom window.
I may have the opportunity to photograph fireworks out in the township tonight — in the bitter cold. I am both looking forward to this and not looking forward to it if you get what I mean.
Meanwhile, I hope that you will enjoy New Years Eve and, of course, a Happy New Year.

I arrived on Skye late afternoon and just missed the last rays of sunlight lighting up the snow dappled peaks. A few minutes earlier would have been fantastic but isn't that always the way with photography. At least the snow shouldn't disappear for a. few days so I'll get lots more opportunities. I need to clean my sensor on my limping camera, ( the shutter button still isn't working ) luckily live screen shooting works ok at the moment. Happy( Reprise ) is by the Delines, I have loved Skye since my first trip across on the ferry with the university climbing club, camping in deep snow in Glenbrittle.
Popping in to say "hi". Have had company for several days now so I haven't been able to look at pictures or comment. I will catch up soon.
Tonight I was out taking full moon shots with my niece whom I haven't seen in ages. She is the daughter of my older brother that died in 2009 so we are really enjoying our time together. She has really gotten into photography too and is of course a young person making her way and doesn't have a lot of disposable income at this point in her life (she is a 911 operator) and we wanted to shoot the moon tonight but she didn't have a tripod. So I took her to town and bought one for her. She is a happy camper.

The "Happy Return" is the only remaining Mounts Bay lugger and mackerel driver with a dipping lug. She is listed 2162 on the National Register of Historic Vessels.
This is Tofu's way of showing that all is well in his world. The sun is shining without being too hot, the constant supply of tuna, kibbles and treats is guaranteed and no pesky visitors disturb the peace in his home.:)
Easter gives hope for tomorrow, As after the winter comes spring. Our hearts can be filled with gladness As hearts rejoice and sing.

I must say if there is heaven on earth .... it must be Yosemite.
Its more popular during Summer... but Winter in Yosemite is even more beautiful. Its less crowded in Winter..... but still crowded..:) Unlike last two Years its has got good snowfall this year so far..
Hopefully it will get more....
Taken from Sentinel Bridge.Just after Sunrise. Handheld capture as my tripod got cold feet in the very very cold morning. Temp was 15 F ( -9 c), my hands were shivering but some how manage to capture these....

Strolling at a small park behind the hotel where we stayed in Brussels, Belgium.
A week ago this stray cat came in the yard meowing. Declawed and so friendly. It stayed all afternoon and I fed it and it was so hungry. Called the humane society (they couldn't take it too many cats there) called 911 and reported it. Well I would of brought it in but because of Maggie. So my friend down the street took it and we plastered its picture all over Facebook and lots shared. We took it to the vet on Monday and no chip either. So my friend (whom lost her fur baby two years ago) is going to keep it. We're hoping the owners will come forward. You just wonder why?
