#macromondays #GamePieces
I decided to share this image for the upcoming #macromondays theme called #GamePieces
Game pieces are physical or digital objects used in board games, tabletop games, and video games to represent players, characters, resources, or other game elements. They come in various shapes, sizes, and materials, depending on the game’s mechanics and theme.
Types of Game Pieces
Player Tokens – Represent individual players on the game board (e.g., Monopoly tokens, Chess pieces).
Meeples – Small, humanoid wooden figures used in Euro-style board games (e.g., Carcassonne).
Dice – Used for randomization, movement, or determining outcomes (e.g., Dungeons & Dragons, Yahtzee).
Cards – Can serve as game pieces when used for actions, characters, or resources (e.g., Magic: The Gathering, Uno).
Tiles – Used to build maps or change the game layout (e.g., Settlers of Catan, Mahjong).
Miniatures – Detailed figurines representing characters or units, often used in strategy and role-playing games (e.g., Warhammer, D&D).
Chips & Tokens – Represent points, money, or resources (e.g., poker chips, victory points in board games).
Board Markers or Pawns – Basic pieces used for movement on a board (e.g., Sorry!, Ludo).

Happy Birthday to Kerri, a continent apart but in my heart today and every day. I'm sending you this Pelican who also has blue/gray eyes.
As you can see, I wasn't the only one photographing this eyeball. I really makes a statement. This is from the Dallas trip. I really want to go back. I feel like there is so much more to see. Here's some information on the Eye
Tony Tasset’s larger-than-life optic sculpture, Eye, has become one of the most iconic (and rumor-generating) fixtures on Main Street.
The 30-foot-tall fiberglass, resin, and steel sculpture is a replica of the American multimedia artist’s own eye. Referencing everything from a pharaoh’s eye, a Masonic eye, and the eye of “Big Brother,” the piece ultimately means “whatever you want,” says Tasset. “Eye is one of those images that has taken on a number of meanings over the years. God and consciousness are just two of them.”
Originally commissioned as part of the Chicago Loop Alliance’s Art Loop program, Eye made its debut in the Windy City’s Pritzker Park in 2010 before arriving in its new Dallas home three years later. Since then, it has become the city’s most unique private event space and the site of the annual Dallas Art Fair’s closing soiree The Eye Ball, along with countless weddings, parties, yoga classes, and selfies.
I hope it’s good for everyone, but here in the US many of us are scared to death. The Palm Court in Brookfield Place, formally known as the World Financial Center.
Happy New Year my dear Flickr friends! Be happy, safe, joyful, successful and creative!
Love you very much!
Happy new year, everyone! This always feels like a time to be grateful. Photography has given me many wonderful gifts over the years. One of the most extraordinary was a visit to Svalbard in 2022, so here's a remastered image from that trip. Thanks to all for being part of our community and very best wishes for 2026.

Happy New Year
I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and hoping that 2018 is a very good year for everyone.
My first image of the year is the classic view from Glen Coe looking down the River Coe towards the 3 sisters and using the much photographed tree. Again with the really nice conditions I couldn't resist stopping and making the shot.

Spent some time at one of my ultimate favorite places - Emerald Lake, BC. While its emerald-colored waters shine in the summer, the enchanted winter wonderland makes it equally stunning this time of the year.
Fun Fact - Emerald Lake was featured on the back of the 1954 Canadian $10 note. :)
Happy New Year to my followers and biggest fans! <3

Kuldīga town in Latvija at River Venta, Latvia
In the background is seen part of Venta Rapid
Venta Rapid (Latvian: Ventas rumba) is a waterfall on the Venta River in Kuldīga, western Latvia. It is the widest waterfall in Europe at 249 metres (817 ft) across, and becomes as wide as 275 metres (902 ft) during spring floods. The height of the falls varies from 1.80 to 2.20 metres (5 ft 11 in to 7 ft 3 in) depending on the level of water in the river.
