Happy Canada Day, long weekend, to all my Canadian flickr friends! Hope you're all celebrating & enjoying your sunny long weekend!
Miss Izzie Smith #1 peaking out of one of the cat towers, hair and all! Happy ScATsURDAY! May God bless you and yours through this next week.
No matter how many times I see it, “the Mountain” always stops me in my tracks. Here’s an up close view of the south side, a waterfall and glacier mixed in with volcanic rock makes me a happy camper.
Little pink jellybean toes!
Happy Caturday 27 July 2019, theme "Cool Cats" (past and present.) Here Pepper was going behind the house into the (we don't get it often) snow - which he doesn't care for but he'd been cooped up inside for quite a while, and had seen birds moreover. The snow started to fall harder and he came back inside quickly enough.
Mack celebrates his 15th birthday today. He's spending the day outside. I think our neighbors almost consider him "homeless" because he's always outside but that is by choice. I used to wonder if Mack would have preferred being re-released after the animal control officer brought him, Jimmy and their mom into our practice. But then I remember just how much Mack loves a certain puffy comforter my mom gave us, his heated mat in winter, being inside when it rains, having doormen/doorwomen opening doors for him, serving him food on demand, freshening his water multiple times a day... He loves being outside when the weather is nice but he also likes the finer things in life.
Happy Caturday: Happy
Happy to announce that this image was hand-picked by Landscape Photography Magazine for publication!

So I just returned from another trip to the Lofoten islands...! The dramatic scenery will never get boring, it's just a place you'll never be finished with...!
It was non-stop exploring, chasing the sun and aurora hunting!
Highlights did NOT include:
- ‘hailstorms-instead-of-sunsets’ with horizontally flying hail bullets attacking me and cooling down my breakfast coffee on the beach (which was almost impossible to drink properly during a storm anyway…)
- ‘cold-pooring-arctic-rain-during-winter-hikes-to-secluded-beaches’
- ‘28-m/s-windspeeds-trying-to-tip-you-and-your-equipment-over‘ or the
- ‘what-time-of-day-is-it-actually-serious-lack-of-sleep’.
Luckily there was also lots of other types of weather with dramatic light in between; day and night!
Like here on Haukland beach. The sunset turned out to be much better than the quick pizza we had in Leknes before...! The backlit watersprays was something I was going for. The sunlit mountain and sunrays in the back were a bonus ;-)

A wonderful country road in Highlands County, FL and a beautiful pasture with horses held in by a typical Florida barbed wire fence.
Happy Fence Friday!

This is a fundraiser for the Calgary Food Bank. All these sculptures, based on the theme of Dr Seuss, were made of non-perishable food items purchased by the competing teams. All the items will be sent to the Calgary Food Bank for distribution to those in need...

SCHÖNE OSTERTAGE; VIELLEICHT SPIELT DAS WETTER AUCH MIT. Wir sind verwöhnt .
I was out with my camera down the coast when I came across a plaque on a chair that I found very touching. The chair in question is the one in the middle looking forward towards the lighthouse. This is what is written on the chair. Peter Qaintmere proposed to Pam Liddle here Easter 1952. They lived happily ever after. How lovely is that?
Thank you all for all the time you take to view, comment & fave my photo's throughout the year.I hope you all have a Happy Christmas and New Year.
I'm sort of feeling down today so I did this to make myself feel better :p
Happy Happy Bokehs Wednesday and Merry Xmas way in advance LOL!
This is Miss Blondie Smith draped ever so lady like on her back on the top of the tower. Gotta' love these babies ... she and her brother, Dagwood, sleep on their backs most often.
Happy ScATsURDAY!
Not sure what type of bird made this impression in the snow. From looking around, I noticed a disturbance a few metres away, and so my guess is that this bird was rummaging around there for something, got it, then hopped over here, where it flapped its wings down for a take-off. It's not impossible it was an owl that found a mouse or vole, but it could easily have been a blue jay or crow.
HSS!
I hope this isn't too dark. I guess I can redo it if I need to. Anyway, this creation is thanks to Topaz software. I was playing around with the presets and found this one and kinda liked it.
Is anyone besides me having problems running Topaz with Windows 8.1? It keeps shutting down on me.
I passed out free shade trees today. Something the city does every year in an effort to cool the city down..:) I know you're laughing..:) but that's the plan.
Taken back in March and has been sitting in my "Happy Days" file waiting for an upload.
Could be Window Wednesdays too.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)
Happy New Year!
Wishing everyone health and happiness in 2026!
This Blythe doll is Allegra Champagne wearing her stock dress. I’m surprised that I never thought of making a champagne glass prop for her before! I made this with colored pencils on black card stock. The background is wrapping paper. The moon is aluminum foil over cardboard.
Maybe she’ll stop taking flash pictures of me and will go find me some treats……
Happy Caturday…. daydreaming

Dicono che tutto
Sia comunque scritto
Quindi tanto vale che non sudi
Nasci da incendiario
Muori da pompiere
Dicono che devi
Proprio farti fuori
Se vuoi fare il rock in qualche modo
Che ti portiamo I fiori
Lì nei cimiteri mitici
Sei già dentro l'happy hour
Vivere vivere costa la metà
Quanto costa fare finta
Di essere una star?
Dicono che nasci solo per soffrire
Ma se soffri bene vinci il premio
Di consolazione
Chi non salta l'eccezione è
Dicono che I sogni
Sono tutti gratis
Ma son quasi tutti quanti usati
Copriti per bene
Che non ti conviene il mondo qui
Sei già dentro l'happy hour
Vivere vivere costa la metà
Quanto costa fare finta
Ti fa stare in riga
