BJD photos of works-in-progress. :)
Thistle arrived~~ she's beautiful. I'm playing with her extra-long neck piece at the moment, but haven't decided if I'll keep it on all the time.
This is the same purple under-kimono as I used on Airi. It fits them both! Good. I can move on to making the kimono for my project now. ♥
This year, I decided to create a diorama to participate in the OOAK Contest of the Portuguese Doll Convention 2018 - Circus and this was the result. 🎪️ It was also the first time that I made a reroot in a Barbie but I liked it. ^_^ Thanks very much Joana Costa for your magic hands to dress the ticket and cotton candy seller girl. <3 Congratulations to all who participated and showed so much creativity and wonderful works. It was an unforgettable experience! :)

A Tayu crown to finish off this pastel Oiran/Tayu outift.
We dyed the silk to a lovely peachy pink.
The golden kanzashi are shining quietly in this beautiful light.
KoalaKrash did the beautiful faceup on this lovely little one.
We're doing a doll vacation-- we sent off our Nina Chimera, and our friend knows we love Dust of Dolls, so she sent us her Cham Namu.
The cutest round face! The cutest little body! Just darling.
Hazel is wearing their favorite purple kimono. <3
Nanohana are called "canola blossoms" and are made from hand-dyed silk in a variety of shades for natural variation.
This pretty, pretty kimono is made from a wedding kimono!
Furisode really suits this design.
And Tayu crown~ because why not?
Looking sweet in blue. Two kanzashi is also quite nice.
The bright blue flowers are some of my favorite designs so far.
This lovely purple is decorated with cherry blossoms and peonies.
The white uchikake is sheer, a sort of sparkle organza that works wonderfully for early spring frost.
手染めのつまみ細工もあります~
アルパカウィッグはインスタグラムのDollsplaceさんが作ったものです~
This dress is by FoxesLikeTea on instagram, or Daria's The Haunted Dollhouse. It's actually sized for Dust of Dolls Appi size, but the back is a corset-style ribbon so it can fit my Popovy doll too...
Oh! I'm venturing into handmade silk wigs. This one is super soft white.
ウィッグとつまみ細工は私が作ったものですが、椅子・ワンピースは買ったものです。
Hōzuki's lantern is, of course, a hozuki.
Hozuki:
ground cherry (Physalis alkekengi var. franchetii); husk tomato; Chinese lantern plant
Heena looks so delicate and pretty in green. It's deceptively simple on the top and sleeves, but from behind you can see this kimono is exquisitely painted. We were happy to buy it and put it together to be worn for years by various dolls...
Anyway, who do you think wore it best?
Leaves are red momiji~ lovely again.
I am getting a Rapunzel vibe...so sweet!
Kimono is handmade by me. It's actually cotton, but amusingly lined with silk...
The doll herself is for sale with hair and eyes and clothes、 but not those featured in this photo.
Hair flowers are bell flowers: kikyo in Japanese.
Handmade kimono by me, kanzashi and obi also.
This one has been in the works since...May or June? But we finished!!
A closer look at the hair decorations.
I love the large plum blossoms, and adore~ them. (Red ones on Enkiri)
Enmusubi is wearing an unusual ornament...do your recognise it? It's from a traditional doll artisan, who makes hina-ningyo parts, and we fashioned it to cling to Enmusubi's wig.
Geta by Kilik the Fox.
Noelle: oooh Santa...i just love you...and have missed you! it is soooo good to be home! Thank you for coming to the lake...
Santa" ah my dear..good to see you too! It is never the same around here with out you! and you know i ALWAYS come to greet you!
This under-kimono is made from human sized under-kimono, so it's got a pretty crepe texture even though it's synthetic blend.

Little Enkiri is kneeling. . . playing with their new friends, bunny and bear.
