Wisteria and butterfly kanzashi decorate Juniper' shair.
The red-and-orange-and-gold tones of this kimono is really beautiful.
Don't they look so charming in kimono? :D I haven't decided on a name yet...
Handmade kimono. Handmade tsumami zaiku. (Also called kanzashi). I made each one by hand...I don't have a sewing machine, so kimono take a long time.
Inari's foxes and jizou (地蔵 ),
Jizou are little bodhisattva who look after children. These are in the shape of many sweet animals...
(NOTE: jizou in the world are usually *only* person shaped at actual temples or shrines. These are cute interpretations...)
Goldielocks would love to romp around the forrest in this hood. It shines as bright as her hair. This is a Large Adult. It can not be reproduced. It's a One of a Kind, Original!
This is a sneak peak at our new "One of a Kind Line" Each hood will be named after a Faerie, or Fairytale Charecter.
Handmade by upcycleing a cotton rayon blend Selvage, these hoods have a silky feel that is dream in texture. This eco-friendly hood is all natural. It’s our own unique original design.

Knee-length for a 56cm doll. ♥ You can fold it up and under to make it above-the-knee too.
Doll kimono: I got synthetic nagajyuban fabric (could also be made into washable fudangi) for dolls under-kimono.
I chose the synthetic kimono because the dye does not bleed. (Well, does not bleed red with just-boiled water. I didn't try boiling it.) This is useful for under-layers of kimono, which might be left on sometimes.
Also, this pattern is really charming.
A little treat I´ve crafted to my friend Nath Yamauti , based on her flickr picture: www.flickr.com/photos/ny2/3672590543/
Rosa wanders in the woods and comes across this cocky fellow...
i felt so bad..poor Rosa had not had a new dress in a long time..made this one for her today..with vintage fabrics
Neptune looks cute, but this dress is for...1/4 dolls? Really? Hm.
Personally I think Lark wore it better. (50cm small 1/3 doll)
Yep, she got another new dress! We're on the go here :)
Sorry for the bad light again, it's quite dark here >_<
Choco and Sage are dressed in solid red as Kamuro, with a creative addition of silk kanzashi in their hair.
Miyabi is dressed as a Shojo, the apprentice Oiran who's been selected from the Kamuro to become Oiran.
The kimono sets are all made by me. I also made the hair flowers.
...the under-kimono is acutally usotsuki since it's...not the full under-kimono! It's just the skirt. Much faster to make though, and helps with wide hipped / thick waist girls, since traditionally showing your legs in kimono is something of a taboo. You CAN do it modernly, of course, but you should do it knowingly and with a fashion style in mind. :)

Pink and blue sale price $30 without obi ($10 cotton obi)
This kind of woven kimono is really traditional! The dyes are deep and the fabric is soft. It's in between the care needed for linen and stiff cotton, since it's a really soft weave.
Rising from tea, Aine is ready for the next lesson.
Aine is wearing a wig by Anastasia Fashiondoll (on instagram) and the kimono and hair ornaments are made by me. (Excepting the yellow resin kanzashi.)
Handmade crane kanzash, a kind of Japanese fabric art. These are made out of the same silk that is used in making kimono. I used kimono fabric, which you can see in red and gold, and ivory habutae (the very light weight silk used in lining kimono; it is very expressive).
This kimono fabric is from a wedding kimono fabric...I only have a very small amount of this fabric, so this is a special design.
正月飾りで作った鶴です。このつるはいつものより二倍おおきくて作るのを工夫しました! 綺麗にできたら嬉しいです。
This kimono is deceptively simple on the top and sleeves, but from behind you can see this kimono is exquisitely painted. We were happy to buy it and put it together to be worn for years by various 1/3 dolls...
Anyway, who do you think wore it best?
Leaves are red momiji~ lovely again.
These are actually more than a hundred squares folded one at a time to make petals, and then arranged into wisteria shapes. 💜
Made for 1/4th size dolls.
I like their wisteria-pink obi. It's not one I get asked for often, but I really do like it.
The bright blue flowers are some of my favorite designs so far.
Pattern by Frayed Knot
An absolute GENIUS pattern! Why? Because it doesn't need a liner! I use this bag as a purse every single day and I LOVE it! Very sturdy… I'd show you what I carry on a daily basis, but then you'd judge me ;)
This is one of my first kimonos that I made. Ariadne can wear it too! It's not quite red-- I think it is vermilion 朱色 or maybe 緋色.
Since I have a new size 1/3rd, this means I make a variety of sizes of kanzashi and try them on my 1/6th and 1/8th dolls too. ;)
Kanzashi made by me...
Thinking about changing the support style for the smallest one-- it's a bit awkward for such a small piece. Might give up flexibility for compactness. ♥
