Momoko has such a small face! She looks alright on the pure nemo body.
Sort of showing the difference between different bodies, same kimono... pure nemo needs her obi retied, to make up for the smaller waist.

Left (blue): tall YOSD 1/6 size under-kimono (nagajuban). Made in 2021 by me.

...these also can be worn as everyday kimono.
Red sale price $30 (No obi)
She looks like little spring child~ a 17cm doll in fantasy grey and strawberry hair. Her name is Rin.
I made the flowers in Rin's hair... the little flowers are about 1cm each, handdyed silk. The art is called "tsumami zaiku" and it is from folding tiny squares like origami. It's a Japanese technique, also called "kanzashi" in English.
For the Jane Austen ATC swap.
The quote is from Mansfield Park and reads:
Oh! Do not attack me with your watch. A watch is always too fast or too slow. I cannot be dictated by a watch!

Ink, watchpieces, printout, gel pen on cardstock
This one is a shorter sleeved kimono, which is super nice for balance, and also a more homongi feel rather than furisode, which is a level down in the formal/special occasion register.
This kimono is deceptively simple on the top and sleeves, but from behind you can see this kimono is exquisitely painted. We were happy to buy it and put it together to be worn for years by various 1/3 dolls...
Anyway, who do you think wore it best? Willow is modeling on the Myou Doll 1/3 body.
Leaves are red momiji~ lovely again.
I made some 1/4 size silk kimono! These leave kanzashi that I've been working on for a few months go really well.
I want to try to finish before the season is long over next time, haha!
This kind of style to wear the kimono is old; it's not modern wearing style. It's based off of Ukiyoe, so you can see the obiage are going down and across the obi instead of on top, and there's no obijime. It's great isn't it?
The mask is by Edera Mari on Instagram; they're a Japanese mask maker who lives in Europe.
The golden kokoro obi is filled with grace. This is commonly worn by Tayu, modern-day dancers (Oiran without the prostitute aspect).
I made a tiny silk kimono and hair flower. I also made the silk wig.

Thistle is wearing her silver wig...resting in a pile of silk. She has such a sad, sweet expression.
She's holding (and wearing) my handmade kanzashi. do you like the little crane?
She's surrounded by various other kanzashi...from person sized ones to BJD sized ones.
I made her lacey leggings, and altered the white dress.
Hand dyed by me.
Please don't mind the WIP...
Working on sleeves. This one is usualy Percy's kimono.
Started 2019 summer, still working on it (likely finish by June)
I sew by hand.
I started taking a lot of Hazel in kimono in preparation for putting her up for sale, and this is one of them.

When storing kimono, if your box is big enough, I recommend laying them flat with the sleeves folded in.
If your box is smaller, fold the trailing "feet" part up under the sleeves to make a shorter garment.
The silk wisteria hairpin is handmade by me. So is the mauve kimono, both obi. But the green kimono I picked the silk and a friend made me a while ago!
