This is a wedding kanzashi for a bride abroad. She has a lovely color scheme, and these lovely cherry blossoms suited her very well.
Handmade by me. All silk~
Pastel oiran would love to meet a pastel geiko now. 😁
The lovely Juniper looks wonderful in blue and coral.
I just adore pomegranates. Bitter-sweet and maybe a touch sour? And such a pretty shape...
Pretty alpaca wig and wisteria kanzashi~ so cute.
Rin looks so cute against the starlight pattern. ♥
I made the flowers in Rin's hair... the little flowers are about 1cm each, handdyed silk. The art is called "tsumami zaiku" and it is from folding tiny squares like origami. It's a Japanese technique, also called "kanzashi" in English.
This kimono is deceptively simple on the top and sleeves, but from behind you can see this kimono is exquisitely painted. We were happy to buy it and put it together to be worn for years by various 1/3 dolls...
Anyway, who do you think wore it best? Willow is modeling on the Myou Doll 1/3 body.
Leaves are red momiji~ lovely again.
I originally designed this to be worn under uchikake, but the silk is so pretty I've used it more as a fudangi kimono on its own.
Keittiön kaapinovien uusi ilme - cupboard doors in my kitchen
* rispaantuneet lastulevyiset kaapinovet
* lehdistä revittjä kuvia (Hesarin kuukausiliite on hyvä kuvien lähde, samaten Nyt-liite. Paksuhko paperi on parempi kuin ihan ohut. Vähemmän kiiltävä on parempi kuin enemmän kiiltävä.)
* vedellä laimennettua liimaa (noin 15 ruokalusikallista liimaa puoleen litraan vettä; Erikeeperiä / maitoliimaa / puuliimaa / PVA-liimaa)
* lakkaa (7 kerrosta)
* aikaa ja kärsivällisyyttä
* kohtuullisen pölytön työskentelytila.
I made these "new" doors (coated the old, ugly and shabby ones with paper, glue and varnish) for our cupboards 17 years ago. Now it is time to renovate the whole kitchen, but i do not know, what to do with these old doors. I like them too much to just throw them away...
We bought some vintage kimono fabric that was too old to dye in the traditional, painstaking methods, so we got it at vintage prices...and decided to dye it in a beautiful mint with rainbow accents!
This is the nagajyuban / underkimono. But I'm using it as a kimono today. :) You can see her thin waist here~ ♥
BJD photos of works-in-progress. :)
Thistle arrived~~ she's beautiful. I'm playing with her extra-long neck piece at the moment, but haven't decided if I'll keep it on all the time.
This is the same purple under-kimono as I used on Airi. It fits them both! Good. I can move on to making the kimono for my project now. ♥
I made some 1/4 size silk kimono! These leave kanzashi that I've been working on for a few months go really well.
I want to try to finish before the season is long over next time, haha!
The little child was more than willing to go on a walk...where they find a crane.
Sai is a Lati white doll, 9.5cm tall.
The crane is handmade by me, 22cm wingspan. I was making the crane one weekend and realized they were much bigger than my tiniest doll...and so...
Cozy meets practical in this Fairy inspired design.
It acts as both a Hat and Scarf!
If you get too warm, it flips down like a Hood.
You can even tie the scarflette behind your back so you can adventure all day without worrying about your hat!
An added bonus is that you won’t get saturated no matter how torrential the downpour!
You can even tie the tails to make a Satchel.

Color: Gorgeous Lilac or light purple (looks a bit periwinkle in some lights) Dark Blue and Cream make up the patchy variegation of this hood! The colors look the most accurate in the close up photo. I take all pictures in natural light, but colors do differ on different monitors.
Size: Medium Adult 11” from the top of the hat down the side to where it touches the shoulder, Scarflette measures 35” from the corner of the hood to the tip.
Texture: Wild, Wooly, Long hair, Furry, Funky, will hold up well over hard use, Warm, Dense Fall Weight
Material: Wool Selvage
This hood and others like it are available in my Etsy shop! See my profile for details!
I received a very small quantity of Pearly pink.
This eco-friendly hood is made with 100% Upcycled Wool. Good to the environment, good to your head, and brimming with sustainable style!
All the pink is used up! Still there is a lovely picture to show I once hat it!
I just adore pomegranates. Bitter-sweet and maybe a touch sour? And such a pretty shape...
The leaf crown is oak leaves and hand-dyed silk.
Hehe, this is one of the first wigs we made too. It's also hand-dyed (yes, with the same dyes we use for silk...but alpaca needs an acid dye based solution, and significantly longer batching times for this pastel color. Interesting, right??)
All dressed up and nowhere to go.
We are freezing here in Ohio today. Currently -7F but feels like -32F with the wind. YIKES!
