He might just as easily have come from the Pakistani pace stable: well-built, quick and unfazed by a batsman's reputation, Zaheer could move the ball both ways off the wicket and swing the old ball at some pace. After initially struggling to establish himself as a new-ball bowler, he came of age on the 2002 tour of the West Indies, when he led the line with great heart. His subsequent displays in England and New Zealand - not to mention some eye-catching moments at the World Cup - established him at the forefront of India's new pace generation, but a hamstring injury saw him relegated to bit-part performer as Indian cricket scripted some of its finest moments away in Australia and Pakistan. After that, his pace has dropped and his attitude was questioned, as a new breed of pace bowlers pushed him aside to move to the front of the queue. One of these will most likely end up as my 365 portrait for the day, but I don't know which one. And it may be that in the course of the day, I'll wind up taking another shot I like better any way lol...so I'll upload them and see what happens.
Roger Clemons was a pitcher in the major leagues who pitched for 4 teams. He has hall of fame numbers with 354 wins to 184 loses. He had a career ERA of just over 3 and has thrown 4672 strikeouts in 23 seasons before retiring in 2007.
Clemons retired in 2003 from the NY Yankees only to be called back in the off season by the Houston Astros and Clemons former teammate Andy Petite. Clemson would pitch the next 2 seasons for Houston and help the Astros to the World Series in 2005. He would be the starter for game 1 but only pitch 2 innings because of a hamstring injury. He wouldnt pitch agin in the series and Chicago White Sox won the championship. Clemson would announce his retirement again.
Before the start of the 2006 season, the Astros came back after Clemons again offering Clemons a 1 year $22 million contract. That is the biggest 1 year contract ever and the most money paid to a pitcher in 1 year. Clemons excepted and would play for the Astros in 2006.
With Clemons hamstring injury, the Astros sent Clemons on a minor league trip to work out his arm and make sure he was ok to pitch. Clemons son Koby was also a baseball player for the Houston Astros but he was in the minor leagues in single A. He played for the Lexington Legends. The Astros thought that Lexington would be a good start for Clemons. On June 6, 2006, Clemons started a game for the Legends in front of a sold out standing room crowd of over 9000 fans. Clemons pitched 3 innings throwing 62 pitches striking out 6 and only walking 1. He would give up 1 run and pick up the win with a 5-1 victory.

The North Carolina Tar Heels, a power five program out of the Atlantic Coast Conference, dealt Old Dominion its first home defeat since November 2015. But in the loss, ODU gained a new starting quarterback.
True freshman Steven Williams, a graduate of Woodrow Wilson H.S. in Washington, D.C., replaced starting quarterback Jordan Hoy and backup QB Blake LaRussa in the 53-23 loss.
"When you don't have a first down in the first quarter and you have no energy on the sideline because the players feel it, you have to make the move," ODU head football coach Bobby Wilder explained. "I didn't go into this game thinking [Williams] would play."
Seeing his first action, the 17 year old Williams completed 9-of-20 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw an interception and lost a fumble. Williams added 34 rushing yards on seven attempts.
"We haven't developed an identity on offense," Wilder noted. "Stevie Williams today gave us an identity. Steven Williams is the quarterback of the Old Dominion football team moving forward."
"They just said 'let's go," Williams explained of how he learned he was about to receive his first college playing time. "My teammates were all behind me. I just had to go do my job and we'll be fine."
Old Dominion outscored North Carolina (1-2), 16-14, in the second half, after trailing the Tar Heels, 39-7, at the half.
Prior to the game, ODU learned All-Conference USA running back Ray Lawry, the program's all-time leading rusher, has a torn hamstring. Head coach Bobby Wilder reveals the injury could keep Lawry sidelined for the remainder of the season.
