Haha, this is small compared to others! And honestly only a few I purchased on my own. Most of these were gifts to me. ^__^; My favorite is of course, the beat up one on the left. He's 26 years old! I just got the 6" vintage, (center) from ebay and he is adorable! <3
Love-a-lot was my favorite Care Bear as a kid, and I really wanted a Care Bear but my temper was really bad. My cousin bought me a Grumpy Bear for my 4th birthday (I guess as a joke?) but as a four year old always wanting a Care Bear I went nuts! I loved him! And still do. XD Maybe I gave him too much love. Some people think he looks creepy. ^__^;;;
But we welcome all new Grumpy's in the house of course! :) The only thing is, I think Grumpy is getting happier over the years.... o_O;
This picture was take by me niece Danielle Whatley aka DKW Photography. She is only 16 and studying to become a professional photographer one day.

Chewie and Midge being grumpy, nothing special but it was taken with my new iPad, I absolutely love it ! My computer's at the computer hospital at the moment, trying to catch up a bit, hope I can go back to normal once it comes back, hopefully fixed. God this weather ( and the weeks of bloody fireworks ) are driving me crazy, grrrrr........
I'm not a dictator. It's just that I have a grumpy face.

Hi flickr! I'm back!
I don't know if it is because spring is here or because the creative juices have begun to flow again or maybe a combination of both, but I feel that I'm once again ready to commit to this photographic community. Anyway: for whatever it is worth I'll be posting and commenting again, but first a recap.
Recap:
Since late summer last year I have not actively been using my camera (except for some ordinary family shots). I think the obvious reason was that the 365-project became too overwhelming and time consuming. Also I had so many unedited RAW-files on my computer that it seemed almost pointless to continue. The feeling I had was that many, if not all, of the photographs I took where never good enough. The solution for a period was to do too much extensive processing. This ended in photos that where unnatural, overprocessed and sometimes downright ugly. I contemplated shutting down my flickr account for good.
The solution: start afresh
I have deleted all not so good photos and separated the shots with sentimental value from the really good shots. I have decided that to enjoy sharing my photography again it is the latter kind of shots that you will see here. Also I have done an extensive spring cleaning on my account. I have quit most of the groups, deleted some contacts and moved all my old shots into a collection of their own. I will now upload a lot less frequent than I did last year, but instead with more care to each upload. I'm guessing this will help and revamp my interest and joy in photography again.
About this shot:
This is a picture of my son after being forced to take a Sunday walk last autumn. Sometimes he thinks such walks are ok, but most times it is a combination of dragging and pushing the boy along. The expression on his face says it all!
Processing:
This was originally in colour, but somehow I needed a lot more contrast to bring out the face as I wanted it. Black and white seemed the perfect solution so I did a grayscale version in Lightroom, played a little with the exposure and contrast and a slight crop. Also I added a vignette, exported to Photoshop and overlayed (at 30% opacity) a Topaz Adjust Clarity-filter to enhance hair and face just a little more.

How fun to get all the grumpy/pouty girls together for a photo shoot. However, there was a cat fight, because ZuZu and Sterling had never met before!!! Sterling just got home for Spa, and holy smokes, Zuzu was not happy because she felt she ruled in the Pink Palace.....sigh.....
This photo was submitted as part of the HooHaa52 Challenge. This week's topic was "Light."
I was in the garden when I hear my wife, sister, and their grandma calling me over. They had found this guy hopping around in the grass. While I was taking photos, I felt something against my leg only to find another one trying to hop up my pant leg. What I liked about this shot in particular was that it not only had a grumpy look on it's face, but it seemed like he was tyring to hide behind the blade of grass.
As for the HooHaa52 topic, I realized that I did not really come up with something specifically for light, so since photography is the capture of light, I decided to go with that excuse for using another photo I did capture this week. 0:-)

Hope you like it as much I am happy with it.

This B-25D Mitchell, affectionately known as "Grumpy", is the oldest flying B-25 in the world. Built in 1943, she is a WWII Veteran. Nearly 70 years later, she still has what it takes to put on a show.
My wife and I have a couple of cats. Our senior cat is Moe, who is pictured here. He woke up kind of grumpy from his afternoon nap.

Ok second attempt at smoke went a bit better, I was braver and decided to go completely manual - eek!! but it actually worked out better for me.
Everyone see's different things in smoke images but I can see clearly a grumpy old man with his arms crossed in this one.... Very addictive this smoke photography, but fun too....
Same guy but in Blue this time.... think I prefer the red, he seems more menacing in Red. Lol.
