Not sure if this figurehead was ever used on a ship but I know its been in this spot in Falmouth for at least 50 years. I can remember it as a teenager.
Anyway if it was... Bet the ship was named Grumpy......

But I do love my job! Certainly enjoying only having to work two 12 hours shifts a week now and not four! Semi - retirement is cool! :)
I work for Yorkshire Ambulance Service on the RRVs in and around the city of Sheffield in South Yorkshire.
It’s a great job and I feel very honoured to be able to help people at their point of need.

I was in a grumpy mood today and I just opened up illustrator and experiment with new style.
In the end, I got myself a Grumpy Star for my series and it helped me to release my stress, lol!
So, I am planning to see how many characters I can draw these days and maybe one day I will put them together in a bigger picture.. we will see how this will go...

The whole trip was verrrrry great... getting to meet some flickr friends but I admit I wasn't prepared for the torturous walk (for more than 3 hours) and got a little bit scared going down because it was already dark.
We went for some beer... and felt grumpy. But due to the "reflection rules" of mine I passed the adjective to Tyler. Nyahahhaa... Grumpy Tyler. PEACE TY! :D
All I'm saying is, you said there would be oysters so I flew all this way and what do I get mussels, nothing but mussels... You tell him Alice!

I'm working midnight shifts at work this weekend. This means I become quite tired and grumpy, something my poor wife has to deal with.
Taken with an old Tamron Macro lens, 90mm f/2.5 with no metering (lent to me by Roy).
Of all the Disney characters, Grumpy is still my favorite. And, I'm still too cheap to buy the T-shirt ($30) so I took a picture of it instead.
I was fortunate to attend a meetup sponsored by my camera of choice, Sony. One of the highlights was being able to shoot with the 300 f2.8 and the 500 f4.0 which I used on this shot. We were shooting at the Mountsberg Conservation Area near Campbelleville Ontario and the awesome birds were from the Raptor Center there. I don't think grumpy cat has anything on this guy.
The company that I work for has acquired the license to make Grumpy Cat merchandise and all employees are invited to take photos next to this huge plush (and pose grumpy)!
This is Grumpy.
Grumpy is a robot build with Lego Power Functions. He can pick things up and drop them where they belong. To give him a little personality, he can shake his had and raise his eyebrows.
All functions are done with only four motors.
This cat lives a few doors down from my brother in Cambridge. Such a cute cat but he gave me this really stern, grumpy look when I pulled the camera out. He obviously doesn't like his picture being taken

Despite those gorgeous soulful eyes, grumpy dog was a major handful and managed to bite 3 staff members as we were trying to help - still we love Grumps!
The Grumpy Magicians - actually, they're rather jovial - are performing at Ryan's Cellar Bar at 7:30pm as part of PHB's Fringe Fringe.

One of our "rescue" cats now, sadly, long since passed away. However a recent request from Getty Images was asking for "Grumpy Cats" and the way our cat looked seemed to fit the bill. She was, in life, anything but grumpy.
Pleased to say that this image has been accepted into the Getty Moments catalogue and will hopefully provide someone, somewhere with as much pleasure as she provided to us when living.
Better watch out when taking that last napkin, Mr. Owl looks a bit grumpy... Marked manufactured in 1969.
