This was taken from a shrine in Mt. Takao.
The whole trip was verrrrry great... getting to meet some flickr friends but I admit I wasn't prepared for the torturous walk (for more than 3 hours) and got a little bit scared going down because it was already dark.
We went for some beer... and felt grumpy. But due to the "reflection rules" of mine I passed the adjective to Tyler. Nyahahhaa... Grumpy Tyler. PEACE TY! :D
I took a picture of each of the dwarves but I love this on the best because it has SSE in the background and the sky was amazing! I feel like this picture almost looks like it has a fake background.
I LOVE the topiaries that Epcot always has!

This is Grumpy.
Grumpy is a robot build with Lego Power Functions. He can pick things up and drop them where they belong. To give him a little personality, he can shake his had and raise his eyebrows.
All functions are done with only four motors.
I'm working midnight shifts at work this weekend. This means I become quite tired and grumpy, something my poor wife has to deal with.

I was fortunate to attend a meetup sponsored by my camera of choice, Sony. One of the highlights was being able to shoot with the 300 f2.8 and the 500 f4.0 which I used on this shot. We were shooting at the Mountsberg Conservation Area near Campbelleville Ontario and the awesome birds were from the Raptor Center there. I don't think grumpy cat has anything on this guy.
The company that I work for has acquired the license to make Grumpy Cat merchandise and all employees are invited to take photos next to this huge plush (and pose grumpy)!

This jack o' lantern was designed by me, but to Eden's specifications: She wanted the "daddy" pumpkin to be "grumpy." Now why is that....

Is this some kind of Chinese vs Japanese antagonism that a whitey like me can't relate to? Or are they just prissy?

Aviators will tell you the B-25 is a delight to fly, even though it’s got no insulation, no pressurized cabin, and no mufflers (many pilots ended up with permanent hearing loss). But as one veteran notes, “The Air Force trains you to be tigers. You strap in and get the job done.” Both military and civilian pilots say that after a “grumpy” taxi, the B-25 is easy to maneuver and forgives a rough touch. During wartime duty, it could withstand real damage—“blow a jug” flak, engine fires, belly landings. The plane could continue flying if one of the engines failed. Here we can thank not only designers and engineers, but also the Rosies and other workers who took such care building the aircraft.
