In the back of the Grumpy Cafe is this garden. Really, it is a cement outdoor space. Still, in New York any secluded spot is welcome.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I remember the first time I went to wash all my Bikin dwarfs. I was very concerned about mixing up their clothes. So I stuck each dude's ensemble in its own ziploc bag, with a sticky note inside that had his name written on it. That was well before I had my own Flickr guide. One of the handy things about documenting all my dollies is that I can reference my own pictures for such circumstances. Anyways, I say this because actually it would be quite hard to mix up their outfits. You see, each doll has his own body mold. So they can't actually all interchange garments. For example, Happy is very plump, whereas Grumpy is quite thin. So they would never fit one another's get ups. Grumpy's tunic shirt is one of the longer ones--it goes well passed his knees (almost like a dress). I noticed that his tunic lacks little buttons like some of the other dolls.

Long term rivals at our indoor cricket centre, "Grumpy Old Men", have gone and upstaged everyone by getting the ultimate in sponsorship deals. Grumpy Old Men have now grabbed an exclusive deal with Hooters Restaraunt (Parramatta), famous for their great looking staff and food!

This is Grumpy.
Grumpy is a robot build with Lego Power Functions. He can pick things up and drop them where they belong. To give him a little personality, he can shake his had and raise his eyebrows.
All functions are done with only four motors.
