The Grampian Deltic started in Edinburgh and headed via Stirling to Aberdeen, returning via Kirkcaldy. 55009 is seen near Sighthill on 12th December 1981.
Luckily I chose not to travel on this and only took a couple of photos, as the steam heating apparently didn't reach some or all of the stock, leading to some grumpy participants.
This scene has completely changed since then, the fields in the foreground are now covered by the Edinburgh City Bypass and the Hermiston Gait shopping centre, and the Deltic is passing what is now Edinburgh Park station and tram interchange.

Today I received #lo-mob as gift, I was so happy...even if I am also "grumpy" for other thousand reasons. Anyway this is my Self-portrait of the week, shot and edited with my new, amazing app #lo-mob!

He just found out he's on Santa's naughty list.
Yes, that's frost and ice on his back.
The background is all frost covered grasses.
This Grumpy Monk Belgian IPA from Samuel Adams is part of a mixed case containing 4 different beers that I bought at Costco about 4 weeks ago. All 4 beers were decent, but this one had the best label.
Strobist info: This is a composite of two separate images .... one with rim lighting and one with just the labels. It took about 15 minutes of post processing in PS CC to combine the two and clean up the black background. Down below in the comments is a picture I took that shows a similar setup. The only difference in the methods is that for this one I set the bottle on a mirror so that I could get a little rim lighting underneath the bottle. To get the rim lighting, I placed the bottle up against a piece of black foam core that was leaning up against a 24 inch softbox containing a YN560 in manual mode. The strobe was triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603N.
I enjoy good beer, and appreciate a clever or interesting label. Other pictures that I've taken of beer can be seen in my Beer album.

In West Vancouver there is a dog walk so dogs can walk freely without being on a leash. It runs beside the railway tracks and is separated from the sea walkway by a mesh fence. These two dogs looked awfully grumpy to me as I think they wanted to be with their master or mistress on the paved walk.

Biggles was grumpy with me because I told him off for being naughty. I decided to capture his angry stare.
What I am going to look like on Monday, since I was too dense to take both Monday and my birthday off.

Jasper is a dog dog. Jackson is a grumpy little man in a fur suit, vexed because he doesn’t have thumbs.
Jackson excels at making grumpy little noises and flinging himself to the ground. He’s very much like a toddler. Or a grumpy little man. When I’m taking outfit pictures in the backyard, he does his best to put his grumpy face in the background until I finally give him the attention he wants.

This girl was hanging out by herself on the side of a busy street. It seems like she is having a bad day. She didn't even bother to change her expression even after seeing a couple of cameras pointing at her. But that works better for me. Capturing her unaffected expression is definitely a lot better than capturing a forced smile.
