oyster & scallion griddle cakes

Iron Griddle Dumplings from Old Auntie's Dumplings, a fast food place on the bottom floor of a supermarket. Quite tasty. I don't think I'll have much trouble finding good places to eat on the weekends.

The griddle isn't hot - it is many many minutes after breakfast has been served, the griddle is cool and Will decided he was done playing with toys and was going to cook himself some lunch. This kid is too smart!

The griddle-smashed, USDA prime brisket burger uses trim from the brisket, on a potato bun, and is an homage to the Big Mac complete with their version of the Big Mac sauce, $11. The popularity has become so great that it’s becoming a signature item. That’s LaPianta and Lee behind it.

Thanks Hafners! We can finally make pancakes that don't burn or take 5 minutes to make and we can cook four of them at one time!! So awesome! Glass cooktops might look nice and are super easy to clean, but they're impossible to make pancakes on!

Loulou's Griddle in the Middle

On the warf, we had breakfast at a tiny little diner. There was one long counter and several booths. The waitress sat at the counter and ate breakfast in between taking our order and serving our meal. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. We took turns discussing the made up backstories of the waitress, cook, and patrons.

One that was especially interesting was the man who was sitting at the counter with his kid, and when the cook would run out for a moment, he would slide behind the counter and serve food or take over cooking. She thought he was a regular who was so familiar with the place that he could take over any of the jobs. I thought he was the owner who hung around to make sure everything went smoothly.
