Andie is 3 mos. old. What a cutie! She's very friendly and purring away when I pet her. This is our first meeting. She was kind enough to dance in the light and shadow for me. You'll probably see more of her because I'm watching her all week. (new client)
Three kittens pause in a sunlit room, their bright eyes fixed on the viewer as if inviting us into their quiet game. A pencil sketch of stones and grass lies before them, inscribed with the playful phrase *“Let’s take turns.”* The scene blends innocence and creativity—where art, light, and companionship meet.
I am "auntie" to The Pip. Thank you so much for viewing my photography, "faveing" my photos, "following" me and your comments. It is very much appreciated.

Dilegua, o notte! tramontate, stelle!
Tramontate, stelle! All'alba vincerò!

May 20 140/365. It took awhile, but I was finally able to get Owen to stay still long enough to take a picture.
This is our foster, foster to adopt cat Bryce. He is just about 4 years old. He was adopted as a kitten then returned some time later because he was biting. He was labeled an aggressive cat and was scheduled to be euthanized. A rescue took him in but realized he did not get along with other cats. He wanted to play but he was sort of a bully with them. So unfortunately he then was cage 24/7. We are hoping we can help this guy. He is slowly settling in but does have his moments! ❤️ 🐾

Lonely cat in basement…
Dec 4 338/365.
Owen and Tiger give me that guilty look, as if I caught them planning to wreak havoc on the Christmas tree. Both cats are 8 years old, but they still play with the Christmas ornaments.
Fyero decided to help me out while I was shooting some water bottles for the Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue group earlier this week.
I really love the way the lighting hit the bottle and her eyes for this unplanned shot.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

Who can't blame her after such a long winter though?
Hope everyone has had a good day.

There's a fruit store on our street
It's run by a Greek.
And he keeps good things to eat
But you should hear him speak!
When you ask him anything, he never answers "no".
He just "yes"es you to death, and as he takes your dough
He tells you
"Yes, we have no bananas
We have-a no bananas today.
We've string beans, and onions
Cabbageses, and scallions,
And all sorts of fruit and say
We have an old fashioned to-mah-to
A Long Island po-tah-to
But yes, we have no bananas.
We have no bananas today."
Business got so good for him that he wrote home today,
"Send me Pete and Nick and Jim; I need help right away."
When he got them in the store, there was fun, you bet.
Someone asked for "sparrow grass" and then the whole quartet
All answered
"Yes, we have no bananas
We have-a no bananas today.
Just try those coconuts
Those walnuts and doughnuts
There ain't many nuts like they.
We'll sell you two kinds of red herring,
Dark brown, and ball-bearing.
But yes, we have no bananas
We have no bananas today."
Yes, we are very sorry to inform you
That we are entirely out of the fruit in question
The afore-mentioned vegetable
Bearing the cognomen "Banana".
We might induce you to accept a substitute less desirable,
But that is not the policy at this internationally famous green
grocery.
I should say not. No no no no no no no.
But may we suggest that you sample our five o'clock tea
Which we feel certain will tempt your pallet?
However we regret that after a diligent search
Of the premises
By our entire staff
We can positively affirm without fear of contradiction
That our raspberries are delicious; really delicious
Very delicious
But we have no bananas today.
Yes, we gotta no banana
No banana
We gotta no banana today.
I sella you no banana.
Hey, Marianna, you gotta no banana?
Why this man, he no believe-a what I say.
Now whatta you want mister?
You wanna buy twelve for a quarter?
No? well, just a oneofadozen?
I'm-a gonna calla my daughter.
Hey, Marianna
You gotta piana
Yes, banana, no
No, yes, no bananas today
We gotta no bananas.
Yes, we gotta no bananas today

I started my year of photos with Fyero and it just felt right to cap off 2018 with another photo of my sweet girl.
Lately it's felt as though the animals have taken over my photostream, but that's okay. They make me smile and they make me laugh and hopefully they can do the same for you.
2018 has been an interesting year; my home life has been wonderful. Scott and I have settled into our routine filled with laughter and smiles, the animals keep us busy and still we find time for those mellow moments.
Work has been a little more of a struggle this past year; I took a leap and changed jobs and regularly miss my coworkers and the nature of the work I used to do. It was a promotion, but I often wonder if it was a mistake. I'll keep pressing on, working my butt off and looking for something else that I'll find a little more satisfying, but my work life simply must change in 2019. The stress of the new job is not worth it and the headaches are not necessary. I'm sure this job is right for someone, I'm just not that person.
As for my photography, it's continued to grow. Throughout the years I've flipped back and forth with the 365 projects, this year it worked well. I learned a little about lighting and continued to try and branch away from my comfort zone. I tried to incorporate more daily life photos and less macros. As much as I love my macros, I wanted to use this medium as a way to document the days as they go by. I think in the coming the year, I'll try to continue with a mix of the two styles and continue to try new things.
And, to all of you, who have travelled through this past year with me, I sincerely thank you for joining me on this journey. It's been a gift to glimpse into your lives and view your photographs and art. You always inspire and ignite the need to pick up that camera.
I cannot wait to see where 2019 takes us all.
Hope you've all had a great day.

This morning and early afternoon we had a tremendous storm that came through with powerful winds and rain, lightning and thunder. There was even a tornado south of here. Then it all cleared up and turned steamy and warm. Teddy was happy he got to go outside.

It seems the only way to get a nice shot of my cat is to open the window and lure her to it. Here she is watching the pigeons picking out the seeds from my neighbours garden. I choose this shot today because of the reflection in her eye, you can see the neighbourhood through her eye.
Hope your Monday treated you well... on to Tuesday.
