So I was parboiling some cauliflower to try a new recipe. I left a batch cooling in the sink while the next one boiled, and came back to this scene.
Most of the morning had been cloudy, so Max was pleased when the sun finally came out for his nap. I am not sure he could be a happier or more loved cat. :)

She's watching you...
Fyero took a break from running away from my camera to hide out under the dining room table. All that running really tuckered her out, she's passed out next to me now. Poor girl.
Tuesday is done, come on Friday, you're getting closer!

My well-fed pussycat trying on a table quilt for size. It's hard to pin-baste with him sitting on it!
When pumpkins shine like balls of gold,
And the moon hangs big and mellow;
When the black cat’s fur is thick and cold
And the gray cat’s eyes are yellow;
When nuts fall plunk, and the frost cuts keen--
Look out, it’s Halloween!
Now keep your eye on the tallest broom;
For if not, woe betide it--
An imp will whisk it out of the room,
And a gay old witch will ride it.
Never again will that broom be seen--
So watch out, Halloween!

Week 18 of 52 in 2013. The theme is LOVE. As you can see, Tiger and Owen love each other, and they love their daddy. All I had to do to get this shot was sit down on the couch. It only takes a few moments before both cats will be on my lap. The cats turned 12 years old in April, and I adopted them over Memorial Day Weekend in 2001, about two months before I met Heather.

None of my other cats were using this rather ugly 'kitty condo', so I was about to throw it out...But recently Grady discovered it, so I guess it isn't headed to the trash yet ! He fits completely inside it except for a single paw that sticks out.
A while back I had the herd out on the back patio on one of the first warm days of the year. I suppose the heat of the mat really felt good to those 8 year old bones
6/99 - 2/17/2011. My precious boy. Adopted in November 1999 as a crazy 6-month old, he retained that crazy personality until he died. Always at my side, a big gray lovemuffin headwarmer (thanks for that phrase, Liz), always willing to share everything with me, especially if it was mine to begin with! I took him to the vet's last summer when his appetite changed. All tests came back negative, but there was some part of me that knew something was wrong. Finally, in January, back to the vet's for a cough, and a devastating diagnosis: cancer. 11 wonderful years with him; I had hoped for many more. I miss him so much. RIP, Gremmie.

Owen was on his back playing with this toy. After a few minutes, I noticed he had fallen asleep while playing with the toy and left it on top of him.
My girlfriend and I recently adopted a cat and named her Chloe. She's a cute grey tabby and is full of energy and love.

This is our little Rufus curled up on a dark towel on top of his favorite big pillow. It took me a while to figure out which leg was where as if they were in a knot, hence the title.
Looks best in the original size.

The Duke and his new bride, Catta, arrive at the red carpet, pausing briefly when thunderous applause rise from the waiting fans.

To me the traditional open-air markets in Provence are one of the main draws to that part of France. Busy, fresh, gorgeous and always changing - they attract hordes of people, many of whom bring their children and animals with them.
This egg vendor's pussycat was so oblivious to the considerable market chaos, I had to wonder about his nocturnal activities...
Lucy and Owen are getting along better...at least most of the time.

From being too shy to emerge from his hiding place, Leo has slowly transformed into a gentle love-bug. He's so cute I can't stand it!
Nothing like rolling around on a driveway while someone babytalks you.
