Broadcast actually shares her birthday with Satomi Matsuzaki of Deerhoof, who also loves cats so I waited until Caturday to celebrate with Broadcast. Don't worry, though, she has gotten lots of treats both today and on her birthday, which was Purrsday!
Broadcast turned 9.

Trino stares at me and my husband daily like this. I know he is trying to communicate something and I wish knew what. He is so serious and intense! Thank you for taking the time to view, fave and comment on my images. Stay safe and well.

Trino helps with decorations. He is very camera shy, I think the flash bothers him so I try to photograph him in good light but this time the flash was on. Thank you for viewing, faving and commenting on my photos, everyone! It is very much appreciated.

The sunflower picture (my own photo) is a bit distorted because I was trying to avoid the camera flash on both the glass and on Trino's eyes. Thanks to everyone for viewing, faving and commenting on my images. Stay well and safe.

This is my 15 year old girl sitting on a quilt I made many years ago. I hand pieced it using scraps of different fabrics, (no two blocks are the same). Someone else machine quilted it, I never did put a binding on it, so maybe I'll have time in the next few weeks.

I came home to visit mom and she had made me a vegan cookie cake with a huge frosting cat on top as well as some other sweet treats. It takes a lot of work and a lot of love to make and she is definitely the best at it!
I hope everyone is eating something delicious for Catmas. Broadcast here thinks she is vegan and half the time tries to eat my vegan ranch and butter but this time she was just dining on some Catmas Churu.
Please make sure you give your felines additional Catmas treats this year for their very hard work these past 12 mo.!!!

These two love birds are like this all year...completely inseparable cuddling for hours. It's very sweet! Ghost grey on the right and Nessie (short for The Loch Ness Monster) is the black cat on the left. Nessie has one of her front paws underneath Ghost and her head against his

Since it's been so nice & sunny this week I took Phoenix & a book to read on the back patio. I went back inside for some water and well no reading just enjoying the fresh air and sun.
Happy Purrsday everyone! Here's the cat of my parents, Ghost, who is as soft as you could possibly imagine and sleeps like a big log of breathing firewood.

Clean laundry day. Trino is curled up in a warm towel. He has never been a cat who burrows underneath blankets or towels (he loves boxes) but he is getting older and I think he likes the warmth of towels straight from the dryer.
Thanks for viewing my images!

Trino loves to hide in the wrapping paper from Chewy shipments so we keep it out for many days until he starts to ignore it. Thank you, everyone, for viewing, faveing and commenting on my images. It's truly appreciated!

As in the British shorthair breed of cat. He's almost eight months old now and my favorite subject these days. A new camera and a new cat makes me a little topsy-turvy sometimes. He's not nearly as menacing as he looks, and yes, his coat really is that soft.
My colored pencil portrait of Neutrino, R.I.P. my sweet boy. The portrait is 8"x10" on Strathmore Bristol Board with Prismacolor Premier, Prismacolor Verithin, and Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. From my own photograph. I worked for months on it but never every day or for any significant lengths of time. It's not finished but I gave up on filling in all those teeny white dots on the paper and decided that it is done. From a distance those little white areas can't be seen. I used up a TON of gray pencils and black pencils. I don't know why it looks blue around the edges because it isn't. ? Thank you for taking time from your busy day to view, fave and comment on my images. It is always appreciated!

mischief is his game. He's 12 weeks old now. Daughter Alison brought him home to us in Ohio 10 days ago from a wonderful breeder in Brooklyn, NY. Proper Brit names like Wimbledon and Heathrow were summarily rejected. After a few twists, this name came to fit very properly.
Oliver's four months old now and just growing like crazy. He's been in our home almost six weeks, and the transition could hardly have been any smoother. That means his new big brother, Louie, tolerates him, and bulldog Dexter doesn't chase him much. I'll keep you posted periodically as this beautiful British shorthair matures.
