Not exactly Bondi Beach or the Riviera, Grays, in Essex, does have a beach area, complete with a marina and boatyard. It is dominated by tower blocks and industrial development. In the distance you can just see the Queen Elizabeth Bridge at Dartford.
For the technical among us this was taken on my digital camera set to B&W with the red filter for maximum sky impact.

I'm trying to come back to Flickr.. Facebook doesn't do it for me anymore. Thinking of doing a 365 soon, I have a friend who wants to do it too, if she does then I will start with her.
North Carolina is lovely, the air is so clean. I don't miss Utah at all, only my friends and family. I'm enjoying this state. I can't wait to go to the beach too, once it gets warmer. Daniel (husband) and I have been talking about Oregon lately, and considering taking a trip out there to see if it is somewhere we could enjoy living. It is somewhere both of us have dreamed about since forever. One of those dreams we share.
It's lovely finally having him around after two years of long distance. He makes my heart happy.
A walk through the Hoh Rain Forest in Olympic National Park yielded many awesome views, but few birds. The Gray Jay family however, was extremely inquisitive.
Coccyzus lansbergi
El Tambo, Santa Elena province, Ecuador.
A very seasonal species in Ecuador, probably migratory, but its movements are not understood. It appears to breed in areas of desert and dry forest during the rainy season, but seems to be absent from these areas in the dry season. Where they go is not known; it also occurs in parts of N Colombia and N Venezuela, and may migrate to those areas, but there is only circumstantial evidence to support this.

Yet another example of what the Canon 300 prime
can do from 5 feet away in macro mode.
But believe me you've got to have steady hands,
a properly calibrated diopter,
and good MF skills to get it right.
So for me that means lots of pics
with a refocus after every capture
to get good focus at the actual pixel level.
As we came around the corner to see the gray fox's usual spot, we saw him sitting around the corner, patiently waiting for us to approach. He was sitting about 20ft closer to us than the younger fox in the background.
We sat and watched him mosey around the pathway in front of us for a while - it was another awesome experience!
I love the dark gray tin to these clouds. Especially with the light blue peeking out between the clouds.
