Alot of people think gray is a dismal color, but to me gray is the warmest color. Every pair of comfy sweatpants and socks I own are gray! Honestly gray is probably my favorite color. I chose to include this picture because in this picture I am comfy and cozy. I feel at home, even when I am so far away. Gray just reminds me of the comfort of my own bed and my own home. I think of sitting by the fire watching Downton Abbey or GoT with the fam whenever I wear these sweats. I just feel good when I wear gray!
Another whale watching trip with the East Bay Regional Parks District today - Absolutely fantastic trip out - we saw signs of at least 20 whales in the time we were out - and we were too busy watching to get too many shots.... but here is a small selection for your enjoyment... :)
I typically upload in small sets - don't just look at the latest one in my photostream as you might be missing something you'll like more.... and your comments are ALWAYS welcome :)
The Theobald Arms was not always as salubrious as it is in 2008. This view was taken looking east down Argent Street in 1973.
The gray wolf (Canis lupus), often known simply as the wolf
Picture shot in Blijdorp Zoo Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Seen on the grounds of the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray, Maine, USA on August 8, 2009. I had never seen a gray fox before.
Elva Chesterfield (later Elva Schoenberger), Ada Crowe, Joan Margrie (later Joan Gray). A picture from a newspaper around the time of WWII, they used to go to the beach a lot in Southport near Brisbane. A reporter from the local paper took their picture for no particular reason.

overheard the voices
stepped on all my choices
felt the spirit rising
knelt beside her, crying
did the deed, it felt good
never before thought i would
now i pay the price
i feel betrayed
i again seek the vice
...
god don't hate me
just don't hate me
where did it all go wrong
when did i sing that song
so long ago
in kitchens and bars and church choirs
so far away
in fancy cars
and now my life
is not the same
it changes every fucking day
i can't sit still
i can't sit still
i repeat myself
i forget my own will
i forget i have choices
i forget i have fear
but that's a good thing..............
i'm patient ya know
(i'm patient
i'm patient
i'm patient)
i'll wait for my ends
i'll keep my hand
out reached
i'll get all that i can
will you give it to me?................................
...
forget about it
leave me in a ditch
call me when you're free
i don't care when it is
walk on me
you do
you will
i'll let you
i'll spill
my guts
my lunch
my hair on your face
leave me alone
how did i get to this place
...
am i crazy
am i tired
am i a typical girl
i don't care anymore
my flag's been unfurled
my innocence has been gone
for so so long and
i've sung the same - old - song
i've seen people die
i've broken things inside
i've driven myself away
i've reached the light of day
only to find more shit
seeping into my brain
...
i'm ok
i swear i am
there's nothing wrong
it's all a sham
don't worry, just go
but wait, don't leave
what happened to hugs
what happened to grief
what happened to love
and door openings
what happened to me
...
i'm gonna get a headset
i'm gonna get a voice
i'm gonna get a new life
yeah, i've got a choice
i'm a hot commodity
I LIKE GRAY,
OK!!
all these damn predictions in my head come true some day
maybe i'm pretty special (she falls into a daydream)
. . .so I'm a little confused
luckily i'm alone a lot

Reading this makes me say Whoa in my head. I wrote it during the time I was in school for computer graphics...and a classmate/friend said whatever I had designed in gray was boring or something like that...so it set this off...And I just vented about everything in my life at the moment... The headset reference is so I could listen to music while working at school without hearing others ramble on... I did get one...and I have one at work now too...
A Gray Wolf at Rocky Mountain Wildlife Park. Similar in appearance and size to a German shepherd, or sled dog, but has a larger head, narrower chest, longer legs, straighter tail and bigger paws.
RAW, PS Elements.
Triple flukes! We traveled with a group of gray whales! They were busy heading South to Baja California so we really only got to see surfacing and diving.
1 of 3 seen in the La Sal mountains,Utah. I have seen or heard Gray Jays in this range the past 4 times I have been there in 2012,2011,2009, and 2007.
Whale Watching out of Long Beach 03-09-16 -- We were on an all-school whale watching trip when two gray whales made their appearance. They seemed to be really playful and stayed with our boat. Even more interesting was the fact that they breached over and over. I'd never seen a gray whale breach before, only humpbacks.

Small colony of "Gray bats (Myotis grisescens) (endangered): About twice the size of the eastern pipistrelle; hibernates in very large numbers in only a few, vertical caves; forms looser clusters than Indiana bats but common habit of bats hanging upon other bats produces multiple layers in some clusters; frequently hangs with wings unfolded; fur uniform medium gray but bleaches to reddish by spring and early summer; summer colonies form in caves in river valleys or near lakes; makes large guano mounds in summer caves; highly vulnerable to disturbance during all seasons (arousal during hibernation causes depletion of fat reserves; disturbance of maternity colonies causes panic and may produce mortality of young)." www.nps.gov/ozar/forteachers/bats.htm
About twenty minutes after we saw the bees we got a view down to Gray Whale Cove State Beach and the lot where we parked. Not everyone who parked here is up on the trails. Parking is for beach access too. Crossing the highway to get to the beach is hit & miss. Fingers crossed they miss you when you make your run for it!
