Man... I love Bermuda.

While I'm home I often drive my bike with my cameras around my neck (40D with 24-70 around my neck and 30D with 70-200/2.8L over my shoulder) because there is something beautiful to capture everywhere, whether it be the architecture or just the coast! I'm always worried of falling and destroying my cameras though... lol.

October 2014

Because of Carmeggedon we spent the weekend in LA, Jason had to be on call for work, so we made a little weekend of it. On Saturday the boys did Hollywood and I treated myself to a solo adventure at the LA Arboretum. It was gorgeous! 127 acres of gardens, ponds with all sorts of things to see, explore and discover. My set follows my day in the order I took them and each photo is sooc. no editing.

And gradient.

The composition is TOTALLY thanks to Ravi Jadhav, my senior (and very respectable, knowledgeable and friendly) colleague. Cheers to him!

Was in Fresno during the 2011 rains and when it cleared there were great skies to shoot.

I'm very much a neophyte to shooting nature...

After catching sunrise at Howick Scar I was adamant that I wanted to take a look further along near the Bath House at Rumbling Kern. I bullied Neet into coming and we moved the cars and set along here towards the sloping weathered sandstone cliffs that drift into the sea.

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm not that keen on water. I can swim, but according to my other half thats like a wounded dog. Really what I don't like is deep black water, and my awareness of the power that even a small wave can have.

As we walked along the track I did stop and wonder whether I should continue. Looking at the gradient, and the sea and that most of it looked wet I wondered if I could get anywhere near close enough to the water to get the shot I wanted. It looked like you'd just slide off down into the sea.
