El caballo vuelve a ser, un año más, el eje de las fiestas de agosto en Meis. La cita será este martes en Mosteiro donde por se celebrará, durante todo el día, la Feira Anual do Cabalo y al mediodía, la sexta edición de la Festa gastronómica da carne de potro.
La feria incluye un concurso de estampa y belleza en el que se premiarán los ejemplares más meritorios. El concurso incluye doce modalidades: caballos y yeguas de raza gallega, caballos y yeguas de raza indefinida, potros y potras de hasta un año, potros y potras de uno a dos años, caballos y yeguas de pura raza española, caballos y yeguas de pura raza árabe, andadura gallega y trote.

Google Street view- combines maps with camera images on the streets, allowing a navigable view of a map. This is in selected cities (in the US??) but expanding- recently downtown Phoenix was added. This is a view from across the street of Chase field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team.
A screenshot of Google Maps of the southeast Baltimore metro area this morning - highlighting the tragic Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse which occurred earlier this morning. It is obviously affecting traffic for I-695, a major route for not only the Baltimore area, but for commercial traffic along the East Coast.

This is the neighborhood I grew up in. At one time, 4 relatives lived here. It's where I learned to ride a bike and spent hours trying to catch fireflies. My grandmother and mother still live here...but I must admit...the neighborhood has gotten really bad. Or maybe it was always bad, and I was just too young to notice it.

West of Marrackville is Dulwich Hill station which has a long photo opportunity to the West but the Eastern shot has a tight curve similar to Marrackville's West curve. Dulwich also has a central island platform which means more bowlage problems.
I haven't used MapQuest in years. But this time MQ totally got it right, whereas Google Maps didn't even show my destination existing (though it clearly does)
