Dieses Auto mit rumaenischem Kennzeichen und unzaehligen Kameras auf dem Dach ist letzte Woche vor mir auf der Taborstrasse hergefahren. Hielt es zuerst fuer einen Vorboten von Streetview bei Google Maps, aber die sehen anders aus.

Op zaterdag 21 juni 2014 besprak digidokter Carina Gülcher de talloze mogelijkheden van Google Maps: heel eenvoudig routes uitstippelen voor verplaatsingen met de auto, de fiets, het openbaar vervoer of gewoon te voe, gedetailleerd plaatsen bestuderen in kaart- of satellietmodus, met luchtfoto's of via 'Street View', enz.
This is Winnipeg, a composite using Google Maps. I did this so I could draw out my dream of a Subway system in Winnipeg.
They are indeed doing street-views of Montreal! (Sorry for my fat finger in half the picture -- I'm not used to my camera phone)
I was looking up the Rockyou headquarters when I came across this unexpectedly beautiful photo in google map's street view - I guess their photo-taking van cruised this intersection in san mateo early in the morning.
The red car shows the lough current position of the leading group of the race - updates every 30 seconds.

Visual clarity of Nokia Maps is superior but the quality of the information on the Google Maps seems better. Much more information on street names etc.
Also particularly like the application switching to "street view" mode when approaching final destination.
