Starting from the trailhead (off map) to the NE, take Ridge Trail to the summit, then Ridge Trail to Saddle Trail, then out on the Weakley Hollow fire road.

The rangers and routesetters have humanely designed it so that the first third takes care of the switchbacks, rock hopping, and hand-over-hand sections. The second part of the day is all downhill, and finally deposits you on a gentle fire road for that last leg out. Perfect for someone with otherwise able knees that get cranky on rugged downhill sections.
