El puente de Besalú es un puente románico que está situado en Besalú (Gerona, España) y cruza el río Fluviá. Está catalogado como Bien de Interés Cultural a nivel nacional y a nivel autonómico como Bien Cultural de Interés Nacional, por parte de la Generalidad de Cataluña.
Descripción
Se trata de un puente de forma angular con ocho arcos desiguales (el primero queda incluido dentro del sector correspondiente al recinto amurallado), que están situados encima de pilares, muchos de ellos basados en la roca viva, con tajamares. Al final del primer tramo, entre el cuarto y el quinto arco, hay un ensanchamiento de la calzada y más adelante, entre el sexto y el séptimo, hay otro. El portal de acceso, fortificado, está sobrepuesto al primer pilar del puente.
Encima del quinto pilar se levanta la torre fortificada, de planta hexagonal con dos arcos de medio punto superpuestos, por el lado de levante, y con un arco apuntado y aspilleras en la cima, por el lado de poniente. En uno de los sillares del pilar central del segundo tramo, hay una piedra heráldica con la fecha 1680, lo que hace pensar en una restauración de gran envergadura o en una reconstrucción casi total del puente

Història
La primera vegada que es troba citada documentalment és a mitjans del segle XIV amb les paraules "ecclesia de Castrofollito suffraganea". Per tant no era l'únic edifici religiós de la vila: "capella castri sancti Salvatoris de Castrofollito in parrochia sancti Petri de Monteacuto". A Castellfollit hi havia dues esglésies, una parroquial i l'altra, del castell de Sant Salvador.
De tota manera, malgrat no existeixi documentació més reculada, l'església "vella" fou bastida a finals del segle XI o principis del XII. En el decurs del temps va alternant advocació entre Sant Salvador i la Trinitat. L'any 1691 l'església disposava dels següents altars: Altar Major, altar de Nostra Senyora de la Pietat, el de Sant Joan Baptista, el de Sant Joan Evangelista, el de Sant Eloi, el de Nostra Senyora del Roser i el del Santíssim. L'any 1700 el bisbe Miquel Joan de Taberner troba l'església molt destruïda pels soldats del rei de França. L'església de Sant Salvador es va mantenir en culte fins a l'any 1936, data en què fou cremada, produint-se l'esfondrament del sostre. Ha estat restaurada i es vol utilitzar com a museu.

How lucky was this? When I was on The Ruddington Connection going back to Nottingham, This car has parked up right outside a house but not good for the car in the house since it can't get out. The camera was covered up here because of the continuous rain we kept getting and to get this photo, My bus stopped at a good point at the bus stop. It may be a once in a lifetime capture but I've seen it before and the first time I had my camera out too. The only point was if the bus was every 10 minutes instead of 30, I would've got out and investigated it. If it was on the roads and the cameras were on, I might've been on the photo. Remember, if you see this car around, make sure you get a picture since you might only see it once.
