Eleven has not repeated his long trip North but seems to have a liking for the marshy area just along from Dubwath Silver Meadows Reserve on the A66 to Cockermouth. The traffic obviously doesn’t bother him. He has no qualms about flying straight over the Lake or even out into the middle of it and back. Both birds are spending a lot of their time though in full view of the Lower Viewpoint. Here is a quote from one happy man from Hull.
‘Just a quick message of thanks for helping me achieve one of my lifetime ambitions of seeing a wild osprey. On Wednesday 18th August I observed the 3 remaining ospreys from Dodd Wood observation point including the male bringing in a fish for the 2 chicks, the highlight of my holiday in the Lakes. Keep up the good work.’

Somebody has implemented a pedometer for google maps which allows you to track the distance that you've run or jogged.
Here's my bike ride from yesterday, and the permalink to have a nosey at the journey too.
I don't think the calorie counter works with cycling though. I think 3,350 calories is about two days of food. Or a light lunch from a jersey diner.

A screenshot of Google Maps of the southeast Baltimore metro area this morning - highlighting the tragic Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse which occurred earlier this morning. It is obviously affecting traffic for I-695, a major route for not only the Baltimore area, but for commercial traffic along the East Coast.

We hiked part of the Sac River Trail again today.
The trail has been significantly overhauled and changed recently, and the good news is that there is a new trail map poster at the trail head. Unfortunately the map isn't available online right now. We contacted Ozark Greenways (22 October 2010), and they sent us a low resolution version of the trail map poster, and they informed us that the online trail map will be updated very soon.
I took a picture of the poster at the trail head and I've used that to trace the trails and overlaid them on a Google Maps view of the area, The result is a higher resolution image than that sent to us by Ozark Greenways, but not necessarily as accurate. I tried to overlay the trails on the Topo map of the area, but there aren't enough features in common to align it properly (The topo map pre-dates Hwy13, the water treatment plant and cell phone tower) . This map is approximate, I aligned my trails tracing on the position of the blast area, parking lot, barn and cell phone tower and a couple of visible paths. However, it should give a reasonable idea of the layout of the revised trails.
Also it seems to us that there are some paths missing from the poster.
