And thanks for the memories. Since opened in 1958 to replace the 'temporary' bus station in Union Street a vast array of buses and coaches have passed through your entrance. A small selection of them was represented at the cavalcade and closing ceremony 16/7/2016.
For the next 2 weeks, I will be on a European vacation!!! (Fist pump). Therefore, I will not be able to access flickr for a while... :( If you have a picture you really want me to see, please tag me in it! Well, see you soon peoples of the internets! (Really sad I cant go to brickworld chicago, but maybe next year!)
We had to say goodbye to our beautiful Tean today.
My constant friend and companion for over 15 years.
She's going to be keenly missed.
Because I used to love you, but it's all over now.
(It was fun while it lasted. I'll miss you guys.)
On Saturday 11th July, Plantsbrook School opened its doors to the public for an event celebrating the school building's rich past and its exciting future, where the school building will be demolished with an all-new school being gradually built in its place. Being a former pupil as well as a photographer/journalist sent to cover the event, I set about diligently capturing as much of the school on camera as possible. It's astounding to think that by 2017, everything in these photographs will be gone...

Yah..Its finally over.
I know I had you. But I did not know what to do.
Now I know it. But I have already lost you.
Yah..
It takes two to make a quarrel..
Never possible for one.
So...
Our paths get apart.
Urs chosen may be the rite one, towards the light.
And mine..
Again into the darkness.
I am leaving.
Goodbye.
Sorry for everything.
Everything ends here.
Rite here.

Saying 'Goodbye on Sunday to Jaya, Bunga and Penari, the Malayan tigers on their last day at the Palm Beach Zoo. The progeny of mother, Berapi Api, and father, Rimba, they were born at the zoo 2 years ago, and have been huge crowd pleasers as we watched them grow from fluffy little kittens to strong, healthy young adults. The brothers will be going to Jacksonville as a group and will not be separated. They left Monday morning and are going to the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens where they will eventually be part of a state-of-the-art, 2.5-acre attraction at Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens called “Land of the Tiger,” set to open in March 2014. “Land of the Tiger” will be a one-of-a-kind habitat where the tigers will be able to roam safely throughout the exhibit on a fortified trail system.
Kudos to the zoo and to their keepers for doing such a great job on their upbringing, and adding to the endangered Malayan Tiger's numbers. There are only 250-500 left in the wild.
Their mother, Berapi Api, (whose name means 'Fiery One')
will be given a new love interest, Keemasan Mata, a former resident of the Palm Beach Zoo, in the coming months. Out of 14 paired Malaysian tigers, she was one of only two paired Malayan tigers to give birth in 2011. The other was at the San Diego Zoo. With Rimba, the brother's father, and Berapi it was 'Love at First Sight'. Let's hope for an equally inspired paring with 'Mata'.
Update... unfortunately, Berapi lost all of the cubs conceived with her next mating.
The Malayan tiger is genetically different from the Indian tiger, but very similar in appearance. To the naked eye, they may seem to be a little bit smaller.

Very nice video of the tigers here:
As we agreed more than a month ago, the first day of homeschool was the last day for this pair of shoes for my oldest son. He asked if he cold keep them as a sort of memento. I said he could keep a picture of them. He followed me out to the porch where we made our commemorative picture. He made sad faces for me for the camera.
After placing them lovingly in the trash can, I asked him if he needed a few moments alone. He rolled his eyes at me and we laughed and headed inside.
Goodbye, au revoir, adiós, Arrivederci,
Auf Wiedersehen!!
See you again in about 14 days.
We are going to Tuscany tomorrow morning. Wish you all a good time!!

Goodbye Stranger is one of the more memorable tunes from the 70's - Mike
*****
"'Goodbye Stranger' is a song by Supertramp, which first appeared on their 1979 album Breakfast in America.
The main 'body' of the song is backed by a simple electric piano melody; the arrangement intensifies as the song progresses. Rick Davies sings the lead vocals and plays the Wurlitzer electric piano while Roger Hodgson sings background vocals on the chorus and plays the electric guitar, including the guitar solo during the conclusion by using a flanger pedal (or possibly a wah pedal).
This track was one of three from the Breakfast in America album where a promotional film was made (the others were 'The Logical Song' and 'Breakfast in America'). In the film the band played the track on a soundstage. In the video for Goodbye Stranger Roger Hodgson and John Helliwell lip synch. In addition, John also plays the Hammond organ in the video (and in live performances of the track on the Breakfast in America tour). In live versions, Rick sang some of the falsetto, but Roger and John sang backup. John Helliwell also does the whistling before the second chorus.
It was featured on the TV show WKRP in Cincinnati on the episode 'Baby, If You Ever Wondered'.
It was featured on the 1999 Magnolia soundtrack album, along with 'The Logical Song'.
A parody of this song, called 'Goodbye, Toby' was featured on the 4th season finale of The Office, sung by Michael Scott (Steve Carell).
The song is also well known for its falsetto vocals during the chorus." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goodbye_Stranger
It was an early morning yesterday
I was up before the dawn
And I really have enjoyed my stay
But I must be moving on
Like a king without a castle
Like a queen without a throne
Im an early morning lover
And I must be moving on
Now I believe in what you say
Is the undisputed truth
But I have to have things my own way
To keep me in my youth
Like a ship without an achor
Like a slave without a chain
Just the thought of those sweet ladies
Sends a shiver through my veins
And I will go on shining
Shining like brand new
Ill never look behind me
My troubles will be few
Goodbye strange its been nice
Hope you find your paradise
Tried to see your point of view
Hope your dreams will all come true
Goodbye mary, goodbye jane
Will we ever meet again
Feel no sorrow, feel no shame
Come tomorrow, feel no pain
Now some they do and some they dont
And some you just cant tell
And some they will and some they wont
With some its just as well
You can laugh at my behavior
Thatll never bother me
Say the devil is my savior
But I dont pay no heed
And I will go on shining
Shining like brand new
Ill never look behind me
My troubles will be few
Goodbye stranger its been nice...
September 27, 2015. A morning ferry ride back to the mainlamnd, and it was goodbye Capri. I took a much-needed nap and went for a short evening walk.
As many of you may know, Badger is stepping down from being the Brickarms spokesman. This is a sad decision for us all but it is what is best for him and thats what matters. Badger is a great person who was very kind to me at all of the conventions I saw him at. He was a great spokesman and will be missed by us all. Goodbye Badger and have a great rest of your life!
This is the blouse / camisole that goes by the same name as the collection itself. It uses one of my alltime favorite cotton fabrics, it's just the most beautiful floral thing you can imagine ; )!
Though I love how versatile it is, I think I prefer the style with the blue jeans.

My dearest flickr friends,
The summer finally is ending, so I thought “Why not celebrate the end of summer and the start of autumn with a lovely fashion collection” ; )?
This is “Goodbye Summer”, a cute little fun collection of new boho style pieces and some basics. As always, I try to create fashions that are highly versatile and easy to combine.
The new line is picture intense, so I’d recommend to go to my “Goodbye Summer” album and there you’ll find all new designs. My etsy shop has been updated already!
May your days be sunny and bright and the new season bring us all lots of beautiful memorable moments…
Dearest greetings,
Nina*

After almost 13 years on Flickr, it‘s time for me to say goodbye. I have just cancelled my Pro account subscription. That means that my account will be converted to a free account on December 20th, 2019, with all known restrictions.
I haven‘t been around here much over the past months. My life focus has shifted, and photography doesn‘t take so much space anymore as it used to do. Also, it was easier to spend time here, while I was single. Now, in my married life, there‘s other things that are more important to me than spending a lot of time here.
I‘m grateful for having been able to meet many remarkable people here. I wish you farewell. May you be happy. May you be healthy. May you be at peace.
