STUPID SUN-FLARE ON MY LIP! Its bugging me>.<
This whole photos bugging me. It keeps distorting in my vision, but I know it doesn't look as bad as I'm seeing. So Here ya go.
Also, I hope the tones look okay on your computer. My new computer screen is so much more lighter and washed out than my old computer. I'm paranoid now how it looks on YOUR computer.
I can't believe that another summer has gone by. Its seemed like such a short time.
I wanted to take a birthday photo but of course haven't gotten around to it. So since its about a week since my birthday I guess I'll just skip. Sadly... I had a great idea to....
Thats what happens when you fall off the Flickrverse I guess.
I'll be back to write more later maybe... or not. We'll see.
Today we said goodbye to Angel, one of our most passionate and dedicated coworkers. Angel will still be working for Fotodiox remotely, but we'll miss his fun and energetic presence around the office. Bon Voyage Angel!
We had to say goodbye to our dear Chester today, December 29th 2014. It was totally unexpected, he was very distressed and couldn't get out of his bed. The vet said he had slipped a disc and was in a lot of pain. At almost 14, he was too old to operate on and was already on the maximum amount of pain relief / anti inflammatories for his arthritis and a neurological problem, so there was nothing else that could be done for him
This darling boy came into our lives three years ago and has been an absolute joy. We will miss him so much.

Thank you so much, boxarox, for the sweetest testimonial. Take a look at her lovely photostream; www.flickr.com/photos/15615404@N02/
Sad to see these lovely seeds (?) our summer which lasted 1 and a half days this year, is definitely leaving.

Virgin Atlantic is continuing its fleet modernisation programme, the airline has continued to take delivery of brand new Boeing 787-9's which has since reached double figures and is now in the teens.
Whilst new aircraft are arriving, older and less efficient aircraft are being culled at a fast rate... Their fleet of Airbus A340-600's, which the youngest examples are now approaching 10 years old are in the process of being withdrawn. With the Farnborough Air Show now in full swing and Virgin Atlantic announcing an order of 12 Airbus A350-1000's, it is almost certainly a possibility that the last Airbus A340-600 could be with us until 2020.
The Airbus A340-600 fleet has now been reduced to only 8 examples remaining in service, the most recent withdrawal going to G-VWKD which was withdrawn on 18th June 2016, currently in long-term storage in Orlando-Sanford.
Victor Whiskey Kilo Delta was delivered new to Virgin Atlantic in November 2005 initially on lease from ILFC and later AerCap from 2014. She was powered by 4 Rolls-Royce Trent 556-61 engines and was named Miss Behavin', the registration being a hint towards WKD Vodka!
Airbus A340-642 G-VWKD 'Miss Behavin'' taxis towards Runway 23R at Manchester (MAN) on VS85 to Las Vegas-McCarran (LAS), Nevada.
"It rubs the lotion on its skin, it does this whenever it's told. It rubs the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again. Now it places the lotion in the basket. It places the lotion in the basket..."
This was originally going to be a much grander MOC, but I didn't have enough time to get it done, so it's just this one picture. I wanted to build one scene from The Silence of the Lambs; for some reason, I ended up doing this classic Jame Gumb/Buffalo Bill scene, in which he dances naked. In the end, it was a fun chance to use some new minifig parts.

I have to say goodbye in one sense, because without Pro I won't be posting pictures here anymore. However, I will be visiting the pictures of others, so I will still be a presence, commenting. I will miss the interaction and friends I have made here. Please follow me on my blog at planetofthedolls.blogspot.com/ I am posting a different doll every day for the whole year again. This picture of the Mattel Twiggy doll is from a recent post.
After 360 miles of cycling one of America's most dangerous highways, I now leave it for Glacier national park. It's so dangerous mainly because of drinking while driving, texting while driving, and very long stretches between hospitals (can take well over an hour for an ambulance to arrive in certain sections).
Many white crosses mark the exact spots where people have died, providing an eerie reminder to keep focus on the road.
goodbye '09! 2009 was great but i am looking forward to 2010 :D
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful night :D
this is the end of my 365.
no, i did not finish it, and no i am not proud that i am quitting. and i know a lot of you will tell me that i don't have to explain myself and that i should just be happy, but i want to justify and let you all know why i cannot continue with this project i was so determined to carry on with back on April 17th.
1) school is starting. last year was rough. my marks were way too low. honestly i look at my grades from last year and my stomach drops at how pathetic i was. i need to focus this year. i've gotten help with my focusing and i am thankful, but i need to be 100% committed to my ethics.
2) i feel like everything i post lately is crappy. crap quality, lack effort. photography is not about how many photos you can throw together with lack luster inspiration and mediocre edits. my passion is dissolving because of the daily pressure.
3) when i'm on flickr, i want to be able to enjoy your work. lately, i have gotten so behind on streams, i could just die. i am missing so much of your beauty because i'm worried about if i'll post something in time. it shouldn't work like that.
4) you deserve a 110% effort from me. your support has done me wonders and i can't tell you how thankful i am. i'm at 47,000+ stream views. almost 48,000. i want to feel like i earn that much from you. i haven't been feeling that lately.
5) this is not me bitching, but honestly without a pro account, uploading everyday seems like a waste. every time i post something that's crap just to keep up on a project, something in the back of my stream that i really like gets hidden from view and that kills me.
okay. so there you have it.
this is not a 'goodbye' to flickr, but a goodbye to a stresser. a 365 is not something you do just because. you do it to improve your photography skills. i should've stopped back at around day 100 or so when i was at my peak of quality photos and applied the skills to my photos that weren't being forced to get uploaded everyday.
thank you for listening and being there. i will come back and comment on all your things and praise your brilliant minds. but for now i have to shower, do my chores and get things around for tomorrow as summer seems to already be leaving me, and im nothing short of broken hearted.
i want to write more for you guys again. for myself again.
that is all, my dears.
have a good one, and i'll see ya the next i feel like uploading. not the next time something is forcing me to upload.

Oooooooo ooo ooo ooooh
Did you see the frightened ones
Did you hear the falling bombs
Did you ever wonder
Why we had to run for shelter
When the promise of a brave new world
Unfurled beneath a clear blue sky
Oooooooo ooo ooooo oooh
Did you see the frightened ones
Did you hear the falling bombs
The flames are all long gone
But the pain lingers on
Goodbye blue sky
Goodbye blue sky
Goodbye
Goodbye

Grey and snow all day, 37cm has fallen last night and the snow continued this day. But, as we made a hike down to the little village of Falera, suddenly the sun broke through at the end of the afternoon and showed us this breathtaking view in the most beautifull light.
Goodbye for now, Laax...I will surely return here!

The UK commercial aviation industry has seen some well known airlines collapse in recent years, and sadly has seen another widely known carrier facing the same fate, with Flybe becoming the most recent to enter administration on 5th March 2020.
Generally, the aviation industry is currently in a slump as demand has plummeted owing to the Covid-19 coronavirus... Whilst the coronavirus has been partly blamed for the demise of Flybe, the carrier had been struggling for a number of years, only receiving a bail-out at the start of 2020 to keep the carrier afloat.
Only a year ago, Flybe became part of Connect Airways, a consortium comprising of Virgin Atlantic and Stobart Air alongside Flybe to create a much larger regional carrier to compete against British Airways and the established low-cost carriers, namely EasyJet. The plan was for Flybe to rebrand as Virgin Connect.
The closure of Flybe after the carrier entered administration ends 40 years of service of what was originally known as Jersey European, the carrier later expanding after acquiring BA Connect in 2007. Since the closure; Scottish carrier, Loganair have announced a raft of new domestic flights to replace routes left empty by Flybe.
Goodbye Flybe; having travelled with the carrier in 2016 to Jersey, the carrier was well known for its good customer service and friendly atmosphere... They will be missed!
Previously, Flybe operated 25 Embraer E-Jets, 11 were Embraer E175s and 14 were Embraer E195s.
Foxtrot Bravo Juliet Kilo was one of 11 Embraer E175s operated by Flybe, delivered new to the carrier on 19th December 2013 and she is powered by 2 General Electric CF34-8E5A1 engines. Following the collapse of Flybe, she is currently in storage at Manchester.

Did it ever pain me to toss this marvelous skull I got at Chichen Itza, but apparently it spent two years in storage getting eaten by termites. Mexican termites. Goodbye old pal.
Now that everyone is back at work after spending the holidays with their loved ones they are now also back on the roads at 5pm making my commute an hour of bumper-to-bumper hell!
Today we said goodbye to our Best Boy, the Dog who Chose Us. He used his soulful eyes to make his way from our front porch to the garage, then into our house and from there he danced and pranced his way into our hearts. He was the ultimate friend – he was Chinook’s playmate, Zephyr’s companion, Lani’s guide, and “grandpa” for Gracie and Koko. He was a faithful companion to us humans, happily following me around the yard as I gardened, always trailing along to be in the same room as one of us (preferably both), wanting nothing more than to be in the company of the humans he loved, and always watching with his big adoring eyes.
I didn’t want him. We had two dogs; I didn’t want three. He was young and untrained, a PITA. He ate the drywall in our garage, he dug up my newly-planted irises, he tore open boxes that had been delivered to the house and, depending on the contents, either ate them or distributed them around the yard. He harassed Chinook. He was big and he was awkward and he demanded too much of me. I wanted him to go away. But in the end, I agreed to keep him (much to Tom’s relief as he had already decided). And over the years he demonstrated his gratitude in ways I could not have imagined. I can’t even begin to describe in this post about Buzz and the depth he brought to my life.
Such a dancer he was. Every mealtime was greeted with vocal joy, woo woo wooing, head shaking, and dancing to show us where the food was stored in case we had forgotten. Or when called from across the yard, he would dance his way to us, talking the whole way. He was our dancing dog and will remain a dancer in my memory.
Everybody loved Buzz. He was so good-natured and easy-going, that even the most dog-unaccustomed people liked him. When small children visited, he was at his most gentle, letting them pull and push and prod while he just lay quietly. He played with visiting dogs, making them feel comfortable in our home.
Who would ever have guessed that he would become my photographic muse, my irreplaceable model, willing to try anything if it meant he would make me happy. We had so many adventures together – from ice fishing to flying a kite to playing piano. He cooperated with every hare-brained idea and he always knew the perfect expression to make the photo right. Three years of adventure, all made perfect by Buzz.
Perfect. Buzz’s dear friend, Peggy, called him perfect. And he was.
Fly free, Buzz Buddy. Find Chinook and Zephyr. Bring them all the deer legs and frozen turkeys stolen from someone’s garage that you can find. Find Lani, and show her how handsome you are. And never forget that you are our Best Boy dog.
Let's say goodbye for now
And go our separate ways
It hurts down to my soul
(Watching us go)
It will hurt more if we stay
