With the arrival of a pair of new Scania / Irizar i6s coaches in May 2019, D&P Coaches of Farnborough have said goodbye to Scania K360IB4 / Irizar i6 C53FT pair YN15EHW and YN15EHY. Both were seen at the depot in May 2019.
There are few places spookier than the heart of a forest shrouded in the darkness of night — so it seemed like a good place to do some lowkey gravity defying. If I was slightly more sensible I’d have done it at dusk… setting up what became a quite complicated lighting setup in complete darkness was a… Continued on my blog.

On its last day of trading in E17 we say goodbye to Rapid Radio, a local electrical retailer. A victim of rising property prices the landlord has sold the building for redevelopment forcing the shop to close. A shame as the staff are excellent and I've had several items from them over the years. It is likely the upper floors will become residential and, in theory, downstairs must remain as retail but I'll not be surprised if the new owner eventually succeeds in a full residential conversion.
STUPID SUN-FLARE ON MY LIP! Its bugging me>.<
This whole photos bugging me. It keeps distorting in my vision, but I know it doesn't look as bad as I'm seeing. So Here ya go.
Also, I hope the tones look okay on your computer. My new computer screen is so much more lighter and washed out than my old computer. I'm paranoid now how it looks on YOUR computer.
I can't believe that another summer has gone by. Its seemed like such a short time.
I wanted to take a birthday photo but of course haven't gotten around to it. So since its about a week since my birthday I guess I'll just skip. Sadly... I had a great idea to....
Thats what happens when you fall off the Flickrverse I guess.
I'll be back to write more later maybe... or not. We'll see.
Today we said goodbye to Angel, one of our most passionate and dedicated coworkers. Angel will still be working for Fotodiox remotely, but we'll miss his fun and energetic presence around the office. Bon Voyage Angel!
We had to say goodbye to our dear Chester today, December 29th 2014. It was totally unexpected, he was very distressed and couldn't get out of his bed. The vet said he had slipped a disc and was in a lot of pain. At almost 14, he was too old to operate on and was already on the maximum amount of pain relief / anti inflammatories for his arthritis and a neurological problem, so there was nothing else that could be done for him
This darling boy came into our lives three years ago and has been an absolute joy. We will miss him so much.
Thank you so much, boxarox, for the sweetest testimonial. Take a look at her lovely photostream; www.flickr.com/photos/15615404@N02/
Sad to see these lovely seeds (?) our summer which lasted 1 and a half days this year, is definitely leaving.

After shooting trains in Bellevue, Iowa in July and having no cel service I finally dropped AT&T Although I kinda miss my little tiny S4mini phone. Got a Droid MAXX2 from Verizon and it is a brick compared to my old phone. New phone has a massive battery capacity though.
Sadly Verizon only offered $5 for my old phone. I guess a MP3 player, and WiFi access device she shall become....
How time flies for the timing of the US election is very pertinent for me as the day Trump was elected I was diagnosed with bowel cancer, so I thought it might be appropriate to name the awful thing Trumpy. The fact that it must be over four years since I experienced the first symptoms means that I'm almost at the end of my five year treatment under the NHS. They experts there reckon that if it does not recur within that time then it probably won't. Let's hope next year when I celebrate properly in the garden with a glass of red the world will be clear of the other unchecked Trumpy as well.

Essential to View On Black . I also like it Larger.
Lovely though the Winter woodland is, it is good to feel its end.
I have to say goodbye in one sense, because without Pro I won't be posting pictures here anymore. However, I will be visiting the pictures of others, so I will still be a presence, commenting. I will miss the interaction and friends I have made here. Please follow me on my blog at planetofthedolls.blogspot.com/ I am posting a different doll every day for the whole year again. This picture of the Mattel Twiggy doll is from a recent post.
After 360 miles of cycling one of America's most dangerous highways, I now leave it for Glacier national park. It's so dangerous mainly because of drinking while driving, texting while driving, and very long stretches between hospitals (can take well over an hour for an ambulance to arrive in certain sections).
Many white crosses mark the exact spots where people have died, providing an eerie reminder to keep focus on the road.
goodbye '09! 2009 was great but i am looking forward to 2010 :D
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful night :D
I nipped away to catch my last Sunset in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, turns out I wasn't the only one keen to say goodnight/goodbye to Mr Sun. Lucky I was prepared and managed to get a few shots as the sun was going down and the viewers remained still. Thanks for looking and comments are welcome.

Well dear Flickr friends I have something difficult to say.
My breast cancer from 2 years ago has gone to my brain. 20 small nodules we are fighting with radiation....
Thankfully I have been able have time to say goodbye.
Chemo doesn't reach the brain well. I had the most aggressive least treatable breast cancer. It is called triple negative.
I am at peace. The Lord is my shepherd.
God lives! The Holy Spirit guides.
My life in heaven awaits me...
I look forward to seeing you all again on the other side.

Thanks for a great trip. The photograph was taken at the Famous Farm at Nuwakot, Nepal when the friendly staff were waving at us goodbye. Friendly staff, great hospitality, delicious food, interesting accommodation and the village feel decor, stunning views of the mountains (bad timing when we visited)... I could go on how amazing this guesthouse was.
This is my final photo of the Nepal Travel series, I always appreciate your comments and advise on how to improve this photo. Many Thanks.
Oooooooo ooo ooo ooooh
Did you see the frightened ones
Did you hear the falling bombs
Did you ever wonder
Why we had to run for shelter
When the promise of a brave new world
Unfurled beneath a clear blue sky
Oooooooo ooo ooooo oooh
Did you see the frightened ones
Did you hear the falling bombs
The flames are all long gone
But the pain lingers on
Goodbye blue sky
Goodbye blue sky
Goodbye
Goodbye
Grey and snow all day, 37cm has fallen last night and the snow continued this day. But, as we made a hike down to the little village of Falera, suddenly the sun broke through at the end of the afternoon and showed us this breathtaking view in the most beautifull light.
Goodbye for now, Laax...I will surely return here!

The UK commercial aviation industry has seen some well known airlines collapse in recent years, and sadly has seen another widely known carrier facing the same fate, with Flybe becoming the most recent to enter administration on 5th March 2020.
Generally, the aviation industry is currently in a slump as demand has plummeted owing to the Covid-19 coronavirus... Whilst the coronavirus has been partly blamed for the demise of Flybe, the carrier had been struggling for a number of years, only receiving a bail-out at the start of 2020 to keep the carrier afloat.
Only a year ago, Flybe became part of Connect Airways, a consortium comprising of Virgin Atlantic and Stobart Air alongside Flybe to create a much larger regional carrier to compete against British Airways and the established low-cost carriers, namely EasyJet. The plan was for Flybe to rebrand as Virgin Connect.
The closure of Flybe after the carrier entered administration ends 40 years of service of what was originally known as Jersey European, the carrier later expanding after acquiring BA Connect in 2007. Since the closure; Scottish carrier, Loganair have announced a raft of new domestic flights to replace routes left empty by Flybe.
Goodbye Flybe; having travelled with the carrier in 2016 to Jersey, the carrier was well known for its good customer service and friendly atmosphere... They will be missed!
Previously, Flybe operated 25 Embraer E-Jets, 11 were Embraer E175s and 14 were Embraer E195s.
Foxtrot Bravo Juliet Kilo was one of 11 Embraer E175s operated by Flybe, delivered new to the carrier on 19th December 2013 and she is powered by 2 General Electric CF34-8E5A1 engines. Following the collapse of Flybe, she is currently in storage at Manchester.

I came across a picture that my Dad took 40 years ago, when he was the same age as I am today. He was doing internship in Leningrad (Saint Petersburg, Russia).
Living far away from the ones I dearly love, this quote means a lot to me.
Did it ever pain me to toss this marvelous skull I got at Chichen Itza, but apparently it spent two years in storage getting eaten by termites. Mexican termites. Goodbye old pal.

On Saturday 11th July, Plantsbrook School opened its doors to the public for an event celebrating the school building's rich past and its exciting future, where the school building will be demolished with an all-new school being gradually built in its place. Being a former pupil as well as a photographer/journalist sent to cover the event, I set about diligently capturing as much of the school on camera as possible. It's astounding to think that by 2017, everything in these photographs will be gone...

This week the children will be going back to school, uniforms are ready, and the homework is almost done ( the usual, Margarida will be doing all her homework on the last day of the holidays !!! )
Goodbye Summer, it's time to welcome the Autumn cosiness.
Today we said goodbye to our Best Boy, the Dog who Chose Us. He used his soulful eyes to make his way from our front porch to the garage, then into our house and from there he danced and pranced his way into our hearts. He was the ultimate friend – he was Chinook’s playmate, Zephyr’s companion, Lani’s guide, and “grandpa” for Gracie and Koko. He was a faithful companion to us humans, happily following me around the yard as I gardened, always trailing along to be in the same room as one of us (preferably both), wanting nothing more than to be in the company of the humans he loved, and always watching with his big adoring eyes.
I didn’t want him. We had two dogs; I didn’t want three. He was young and untrained, a PITA. He ate the drywall in our garage, he dug up my newly-planted irises, he tore open boxes that had been delivered to the house and, depending on the contents, either ate them or distributed them around the yard. He harassed Chinook. He was big and he was awkward and he demanded too much of me. I wanted him to go away. But in the end, I agreed to keep him (much to Tom’s relief as he had already decided). And over the years he demonstrated his gratitude in ways I could not have imagined. I can’t even begin to describe in this post about Buzz and the depth he brought to my life.
Such a dancer he was. Every mealtime was greeted with vocal joy, woo woo wooing, head shaking, and dancing to show us where the food was stored in case we had forgotten. Or when called from across the yard, he would dance his way to us, talking the whole way. He was our dancing dog and will remain a dancer in my memory.
Everybody loved Buzz. He was so good-natured and easy-going, that even the most dog-unaccustomed people liked him. When small children visited, he was at his most gentle, letting them pull and push and prod while he just lay quietly. He played with visiting dogs, making them feel comfortable in our home.
Who would ever have guessed that he would become my photographic muse, my irreplaceable model, willing to try anything if it meant he would make me happy. We had so many adventures together – from ice fishing to flying a kite to playing piano. He cooperated with every hare-brained idea and he always knew the perfect expression to make the photo right. Three years of adventure, all made perfect by Buzz.
Perfect. Buzz’s dear friend, Peggy, called him perfect. And he was.
Fly free, Buzz Buddy. Find Chinook and Zephyr. Bring them all the deer legs and frozen turkeys stolen from someone’s garage that you can find. Find Lani, and show her how handsome you are. And never forget that you are our Best Boy dog.
