Hi guys, this is a little experiment I wanted to do since St. Valentine and I hope you enjoyed this "mute comic", I hope you appreciated the idea :)

Now I'll return to work on the followers' replacer and on the Mistveils updates!

I am about to go to work at the soon-to-be my old office today. I've been steadily packing in between working yesterday. Today I finish packing, exchange my security card for the one to the new office, and go home. In 3 weeks time I'll start at the new office. Goodbye Gouger Street, Chinatown and delicious ready-to-eat food!

Abandoned church sitting in the middle of nowhere.

Me despido.

-----------------------------------

I say goodbye.

Tomorrow at 6 am, I'm going Belgium.

I will schedule a satellite and exchange knowledge.

I'm going to miss you. Hope you do not forget to me. Jajajaj: P Thank you all for being so kind ^ ^

P.d: Sorry for my bad face XD

Long goodbyes

Make me so sad

Forgive my leaving now

You know I'll miss you so

And days we spent together

Initially made this in b&w, but before finalizing..i tried to see it in a different shade and eventually end up using it instead.

" Tomorrow used to be a day away

Now love is gone and youre into someone far away.

I never thought the day would come

When I would see his hand, not mine,

Holding onto yours because I could not find the time.

Now I cant deny

Nothing lasts forever

I dont want to leave

And I see the tear drops in your eyes

I dont want to live to see the day we say goodbye

When I first met you I couldnt love anyone

But you stole my dreams and you made me see

That I can walk under the sun

And I can still be me

And now I cant deny nothing lasts forever.

But I dont want to leave and see the teardrops in your eyes

So baby while were young lets figure out together

That even with the pain theres a remedy

And well be all right.

I dont want to live to see the day we say goodbye,

We say goodbye,. . . oh goodbye,. . . goodbye. "

After several breaks I finally think it's time to stop my activities on the Flickr platform.

It feels like my batteries won't load anymore.

Some of you became real friends and I really hope we still will be friends.

Shooting pictures is still satisfying and maybe one day I will return....

Don't worry, I feel fine and love to ride my ATB again. There are so many things I like to do and I'm doing the most of them right now. But commenting on pictures doesn't come by itself anymore. It should come from the heart and when you have to think about it, it's no good.

Thank you all for four great years. Maybe we will meet again and I wish you all the best.

Friends will be friends!

i'll see you again another day..

Today is officially the last calendar day of Autumn. Although cold weather and a few snowflakes have come a few times until now, tomorrow is the day when Winter officially starts. So, while I’m writing this couple of rows, I think it’s the right time to look, photography-wise, how the Autumn went for me.

In some of my previous posts I wrote that if something marked the last three months of this, for me, the best season in the year for photography, it’s the lack of fog in my local area. Which is totally unexpected and a shame. I was so much looking forward, as I always do, for colder weather and colourful nature to arrive with some misty mornings, which we did have, but only in some marginal times.

It is well known to photographers that fog and mist make photos better, there is no doubt about it. Missing that, I was in need of an improvisation with my photos. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying by any means that you can’t have a great image without fog. That would be foolish. Not at all.

When I was in some local forests I was trying harder to get photos that would catch attention, here on this image with colours, more specifically yellow colour. I was careful not to include any sky, in this instance, as the sky would be a distraction in my opinion. Depending on the shot, I almost never liked to see forest shots with sky in it. I was shooting with a lens pointed a bit down from a little hill I was standing a few steps away.

Autumn passed so quickly it seems to me. And I’m a bit sad because of that. I had so many shots in my head that were never taken because of the atmosphere that never happened. That was the main disappointment. Expectations. Need to learn to calm them down.

Now I’m looking forward to Winter. It is forecasted to be a snowy one. Much more snow than in previous ones. So that would be nice for photography. There are some forests in my local area that I didn’t visit any time with snow. Until then, I’m saying goodbye to Autumn and all those shots I didn’t get.

Being as they soon will take away my ability to see anything they consider “unsafe,” I will post only things they have no objection to, but this reflects my opinion of the censorship.

They considered the links in the description to be “unsafe” so I removed them. Grrrr!

I realize this photo is nothing spectacular, but the feeling I get while staring into this image reminds me of amazing memories from an unforgettable journey.

This was taken on my last hour in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado last month. Casey, Tony and I had spent many days exploring 4x4 trails, the backroads of the San Juan mountains, waking up surrounded by only nature and solitude each morning. It was hard to say goodbye and as I drove down this highway one last time, the clouds opened up and put on a lovely light show for me as if to say, "Goodbye for now. I know you will be back soon."

It is what it is... no matter how beautiful the lights flicker, how we cheer ... how we meet up, all at once.. and fill Junction - no matter how excited we are, how proud, of what we achieved - it is, what it is..

It is a goodbye, a watching of our beautiful Sims going down, it is the feeling of sudden emptiness, despite the former feeling of flying high ...

It is a farewell, even that knowing, we might gather again - What is another year, right? - Right now, it seems so long, but deep in our hearts we know, the time will pass by quicker, than it feels right now..

It is the moment, where we cherish our friends - the old ones, and the new ones we have made... and to remember all the wonderful events, shows, moments, the stolen pictures, the auctions, the particles, the Tammys, Theos, - just everything has been precious.. again.

Thank you everyone, for being such an amazing circle of friends - thank you for the open ears, the good advices, the helping hands, the interest, the kind feedback, the support.

Thank you to Elizabeth, who always seems to be in full balance, even if the world around her is shaking ...

Thank you to all Ministers, who make sure everything is just in good and safe hands

Thank you to the World builders, who have outdone themself this year again, with stunning places, overwhelming and extraordinary creations and ideas.

Thank you to the sponsors, who make this whole experience possible by donating for our playgrounds ...

Thank you to the Quest Team - for entertaining us so much, year by year - and what a sweet storyline you had created for us this year.

Thank you to all performers and DJs, who entertained us so much and in so many ways

Thank you to all creators and merchants, who brought so many new fantastic products to fill our worlds and empty our wallets ...

Thank you to the Chronicler and Blogger, who made sure we have so much to watch and read, especially now, that the Faire is over...

Thank you to all visitors who filled our worlds with their presence, who enjoyed our ideas, who gave so much kind and really nice feedback - all of that is appreciated way more, than words can express.

Last, but not least - Thank you to our SL & RL friends and family, who let us dive into this experience year by year, supporting us, while we construct virtual places instead of cleaning up the house or preparing the meals ..

Sending a hug out, to each and everyone of you - Thank you!

You were a great car.

Today Sunny started his second around-the-world-tour. All my Domos gathered to say goodbye. They are sad when Sunny leaves and always miss him when he's gone, but they can follow his travels on the net wherever he goes.

I obtained a vintage ouija board for a photographic project I'm currently working on, but I'm too scared to actually sit in a dark room and give it a go. Perhaps I'll just take photos of it, eh?

Goodbye, Jimmy goodbye

Goodbye, Jimmy goodbye

I'll see you again but I don't know when

Goodbye, Jimmy, goodbye

Wind is a -blowin, rain starts to fall

Did you see the frightened ones?

Did you hear the falling bombs?

The flames are all gone, but the pain lingers on.

Our sweet furry friend Moesj passed away this afternoon ...

She was a feral cat and came into our lives 12 years ago.

It took me nearly 2 years before I could touch her.

A few weeks ago she got sick ...

today I was able to get her into the carrier and take her to the vet ...

her kidneys were failing, nothing could be done.

It's so hard to say goodbye ... it hurts so much ...

Goodbye sweet Moesj,

thanks for choosing us ...

Our friends, The Van Kampens, are leaving tomorrow. Doug, a member of the US Coast Guard, received a job transfer to Seattle so they will be moving there. We hope they have have good road trip cross country and enjoy the time spent with friends and family before they settle into their new home.

Go to Doug's spectacular PhotoStream!!!

May the road rise up to meet you

May the wind be always at your back

May the sun shine warm upon your face

May the rain fall soft upon your field

And until we meet again

May God hold you in the palm of his hand

Well the news yesterday was that another giant bit the dust. This time Kodak is filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

Above is one of my old Nikon FM's and some unused Kodak film.

To be honest it became prohibitively expensive to continue with film. Once you have your camera digital can be relatively inexpensive.

Of course the old Nikon FMs which I bought a LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLONG time back are going strong. They still operate well and are made of study metal . They need a bit of a clean up. I have not used them in a while. The lenses will work on my current Nikon D90 but the metering does not work.

The current D90 is plastic and not as sturdy..... Will they last as long? doubtful....

I took many lovely photos with Kodak film on these cameras and have many happy memories.

Kodak made some of the best film around. Shame they did not realise that as soon as digital technology came up to standard people would switch en masse.

Here is one of the more interesting articles on the demise of Kodak

Good bye Flickr you been nice

I may return to post stuff someday, but for now with the new policy that are totally "for the users" I am going to wipe clean my account

I don't really post much "adult" stuff, but I don't like to risk and mark many stuff as restricted

This new policy is not the way to go a "we going to take away from you so you pay" is not something I am comftruble being part of, a good product needs to offer more, not lock away what they all ready give

I am guessing I cant post my outher socials and stuff.. so if you like my stuff I post feel free to search or ask me and help you find my stuff in the more free places

Good bye for now Flickr, its been a nice run

PS. anyone intrested in using this 5 seconds "Paint" is welcome to use it

On Saturday 11th July, Plantsbrook School opened its doors to the public for an event celebrating the school building's rich past and its exciting future, where the school building will be demolished with an all-new school being gradually built in its place. Being a former pupil as well as a photographer/journalist sent to cover the event, I set about diligently capturing as much of the school on camera as possible. It's astounding to think that by 2017, everything in these photographs will be gone...

This is the last photo from my trip to Passau in May 2008. I took it from the Innsteg footbridge as the previous one and it shows the rear tower of St. Stephan's Cathedral along with the tower of the Veste Oberhaus in background. The flag on the top of the latter one is waving Goodbye :-)
