"Look mummy, there's an aeroplane up in the sky"
Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
Did you ever wonder why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue sky?
Did you see the frightened ones?
Did you hear the falling bombs?
The flames are all gone, but the pain lingers on.
Goodbye, blue sky
Goodbye, blue sky.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Day 147 / Saying goodbye
Please look at the full series here
I might decide to put the rest in the comments, but the order is kinda important with this one.
As the time moves on, seasons change, people come and go. You're constantly evolving into someone new, while leaving the old you behind. There may be tears, it may seem dark. But remember, when you say goodbye, move forward to a better place.

I’m tired of feeling nothing !
GOODBYE ....
Wash your face dry your eyes
Cause you’ve been waiting a long time
To fall down on your knees
Cut your hands
Cut yourself until you bleed
But fall asleep next to me
And have a dream
I’m falling down on my face
I scrape my knees
I scrape my hands until they bleed
Cause you're fast asleep next to me
Today was the day........ the end of the road. I said farewell to a good friend. Together we climbed mountains, we walked the beaches, we swam in the sea. But today I came out the vets with a collar and lead, but without the dog. Tonight there is an empty space in front of the fire. Goodbye, my friend, my very good friend.
It also means this will be the last time I post in many of these groups on here.

Now that I am finally home from vacation, I was able to make this tribute to Kenny Baker who passed away 3 days ago. Rest In Peace.
Hey everyone, sorry to announce that I will not be active for the foreseeable future. I have just lost interest in building. I'll be keeping my stuff since I might find that eventually I become interested again, but if anything in particular grabs your attention, feel free to ask.
I had an awesome time here on Flickr thanks to all of you.
Until we meet again!
I say goodbye to another year; I had some health issues, but I am still here. My Camera gear had some health issues also and I am saying goodbye to DSLRs and entering the world of Mirrorless Cameras. I am also saying goodbye to a great computer which has gotten long in the tooth, and I will be learning Windows 11. New challenges and likely new frustrations but I still love photography and sharing my images. Thank you to all who viewed my images and shared a comment or a like.
Baobao (8 Mar 2005 - 1 Oct 2008)
Baobao left us very suddenly yesterday evening. I had been crying and crying but he is not coming back. I missed him terribly. My heart is wrecked with so much pain and grief. I'm sorry everybody.
I closed on my house today. After 36 years, it now belongs to someone else. It was purchased by a wonderful family who will enjoy and take good care of it. It was way too much for me to take care of by myself, and it was time to move on. I took this one last picture this morning before I went to the closing. Goodbye, house. I’ll miss you...

Incantevole vivere sul fiume in questo periodo....
Si spera che le piogge non siano estreme come negli scorsi anni.

For day three of Roid Week 2008
I've spent almost one year in this place, through wonderful moments of joy and a bit anguish in some moments of solitude ... both of them have left a sign in my heart .... and on that last day, the same in which I said "goodbye", I like thinking it was crying with me for our parting...
When I woke up, this was not what I wanted to see on my news feed. Adam West, The Bright Knight, has passed away.

For this week's topic I chose to work with oxymorons, a combination of contradictory words.

Didn't know what time it was and the lights were low
I leaned back on my radio
Some cat was layin' down some rock 'n' roll 'lotta soul,
he said
Then the loud sound did seem to fade
Came back like a slow voice on a wave of phase
That weren't no D.J. that was hazy cosmic jive
There's a starman waiting in the sky
He'd like to come and meet us
But he thinks he'd blow our minds
There's a starman waiting in the sky
He's told us not to blow it
Cause he knows it's all worthwhile
He told me:
Let the children lose it
Let the children use it
Let all the children boogie
I had to phone someone so I picked on you
Hey, that's far out so you heard him too!
Switch on the TV
we may pick him up on channel two
Look out your window I can see his light
If we can sparkle he may land tonight
Don't tell your poppa or he'll get us locked up in fright
