this vertorama was shot this evening (060409). i just had to chance myself for some photoshooting since its been too long i left my camera alone..pity my camera :p. sorry for shooting at the same vantage point fellas..its just i dont know where else to shoot in KL and i dont have much time to walk around. hopefully u guys can enjoy viewing the LARGE one as well :)

vertorama of 2 tonemapped HDR images, 6 exposures each. all shots were taken using different Kelvin temperature white balance to create cool-warm tones. stitched them manually in CS3 plus minor color adjustments as the blue hour turned out too blue after tonemapping process.
A shame there wasn't more opportunities this weekend for Sussex's annual Hot Air Balloon Festival with all the clouds and rain this weekend. Fortunately the sky cleared up for the evening so they were able to at least do one launching.

This is a Fruit bat. Really large in comparison to the bats I've seen around.

Sunrise colours quickly faded but I noticed the wet sand and headed to the beach. This is a view towards Sandsend, away from the muted sunlight, the sky was amazing! A two shot panorama for composition. You might assume a long exposure but the unusual clouds just looked like this!

Historic Village of Shirakawa-gō ( a UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Shirakawa-go (Shirakawa Village) is a Japanese mountain settlement in what was once considered a wild and unexplored region. Because of the area’s natural environment, with high mountains and heavy snowfall, interaction with neighboring regions was limited. However, this also created the conditions for the development of unique cultural practices and lifestyles. Now registered as a World Cultural Heritage site.
A chum popped in today for a chinwag. While he was sipping his coffee this little girl - Tiki - popped out from his jacket pocket. More shots to come.
Goes was founded in the 10th century on the edge of a river: de Korte Gos (the Short Gos). The village grew fast and in the early 12th century it had a market square and a church devoted to Maria. In 1405 Goes received city rights, and in 1417 it was allowed to build walls around the city. The prosperity of the city was based upon the cloth industry and the production of salt. In the 16th century Goes declined. Its connection to the sea got bogged down and in 1544 a large fire destroyed a part of the city.
In Autumn 1572, during the course of the Eighty Years' War, Goes, in the Spanish Netherlands, was besieged by Dutch forces with the support of English troops. The siege was relieved in October 1572 by Spanish Tercios. In 1577 the Spanish soldiers who occupied Goes were driven out by Prince Maurits of Nassau. The prince built a defence wall around Goes, which is still partly present. In the centuries thereafter Goes did not play an important role, except as an agricultural centre. In 1868 a railway was constructed through it, but this did not lead to industrialisation. Agriculture remains the most important economic activity.
Although The Netherlands were neutral in the First World War, seven bombs hit Goes and Kloetinge, due to an error by a British airplane. A house in Magdalenastreet in Goes was destroyed and one person killed. Goes did not suffer extensive damage during the Second World War, but was under German occupation until 1944.
Goes did not experience much population growth until the 1970s and 1980s. Then, the city grew fast because of new districts like Goese Meer, Oostmolenpark, Overzuid and Ouverture being constructed. Goes is now the fourth economic centre in Zeeland.
New districts are in preparation, amongst them Goese Schans, Mannee and Aria, where 3,000 new houses are to be built.

The whole country I live in is going Bananas. How can we let children grow up in a world when they are not able to trust the police because they could be shot due to the color of their skin? It isn't fair and it isn't right and EVERY MOLECULE IN YOUR BODY NEEDS TO SAY NO!
Say no today. Say no tomorrow. Continue to say no because this child is beautiful. He lives in Paris, France where it is slightly better albeit still a little flawed. Our children deserve to grow up in a world that cherishes them because they truly matter and are worth it. Our children deserve to go a little bananas and not have to constantly worry about their safety.
I love this child. I love every child. We are all citizens of the world and we must be kinder, better humans every day.
