Just outside Waterloo station is an underpass. It's decorated with a poem by Sue Hubbard entitled Eurydice. The words you can see here are the rather lovely lines from the penultimate stanza. The rest of the poem adorns the walls of the subway and you can read it as you stroll through, dodging the buskers, rough sleepers, beggars and Big Issue sellers*
It was a lovely sunny morning and shadows of those descending the staircase fell on the dividing pillar. I wonder how many of them read the poem.
*Actually, it's not as bad as I perhaps make out...
I finally got round to setting this photo up! And it worked - almost. I secured the tripod on the backseat and set the focus manually to the car interior, set the self timer and drove as smoothly as I could. If the road didnt have so many bumps i'm sure this would have come out better!
Still I think it worked out nicely.

7/2022 update -- This corner is currently occupied by a nominal community garden - that is, there is signage to that effect but little other evidence of gardening.
