Never to bid good-bye

Or lip me the softest call,

Or utter a wish for a word, while I

Saw morning harden upon the wall,

Unmoved, unknowing

That your great going

Had place that moment, and altered all.

We leave Svolvaer heading north. The landscapes change slowly, but the beauty of the fjords remains

Thank you <3

After a great afternoon making stone arches on the beach, I thought the sunset wouldn't be worth waiting for. As I was about to climb the cliffs after the sun had set , the colours dragged me back. For once i gave reflections a miss and chose long exposures. Going Back Home is by Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltrey. Sometimes at the coast , leaving is so hard.

Song

Carnival Splendor, getting ready to cruise out of Sydney Harbour.

Our first day of lockdown starts , probably not before time, and I have to say goodbye to my beach for quite a time. Going down to true beach has kept me sane and is so special to me , especially after losing Sue. The good thing is it'll still be there when things improve and the skies will once again entertain me as I stand face into the late evening wind, waiting for a sunset that may not appear. Keep safe and well everybody and thanks for your amazing support. Go Down Easy is by John Martyn. I've been doing some song requests for Flickr friends, so perhaps Go Down Easy is one for today.

Deeply hidden in the dense forests lies a small, very special kingdom: Peaville! Legend has it that a pea princess once fell from the sky and, after some confusion, met the king of the peanuts who ruled there – they fell in love and from then on they ruled the kingdom together, which holds some wondrous secrets! A special magic lies over this land and the attackers from outside try everything to invade, but—will they succeed?

GR III #3: "GR" for GReen ;-) Another one from the (masked) family walk around one of Berlin's most beautiful lakes, the Krumme Lanke. Some lush green, before I'll continue with new architecture from Berlin's inner city (the "cube berlin") next week. I hope this isn't too

vivid and colourful, I know that on some monitors, and especially smartphone or tablet screens, this will probably look much brighter and very vivid, but on my monitor it's just right (yes, I know there are devices / methods for monitor / colour calibration, but... and it's also for Sliders Sunday, so...). Regarding the sliders, I HRDified this in Aurora HDR, tweaked the "Orton Clean" Glow filter in ON1 to my liking, and also tweaked the colours. As I'd mentioned in my description for my previous picture, I must have used "Highlight Weighted Metering" for all the photos I took on that walk, because the bright, sunny and cloudless sky was never blown out, and all the shadows and dark tones were way too dark, but as usual it's always easier to brighten the shadows and dark tones in post, and I was pleasantly surprised at the remarkably clean details and bright tones I was able to get out of the dark areas of the GR III's RAW files.

Happy Sliders Sunday, Everyone, stay safe, stay healthy :-)

Wild flower in the lawn taken last year with the Tamron 90mm f2.8 lens...Woohoo it's getting to be that time of year again....time to get out of the bird blind and go exploring around my property with my macro lens!!

The time goes by faster than you can imagine

ODC: "About time"

I took this image today just a few 100 yards from home and was so thrilled with it, it got priority over all the rest, I had to stand just under the arch to get the sun just right for that fantastic light burst, and that figure was a bonus it gave me the impression that he was going home! I just love it! and maybe you have another title for it there are so many!

I thought the name of this narrowboat was pretty cool. It's one of the few boats on the Wey which is lived in all year round I believe.
